Can’t one sell an off-contract iPhone 6 for more than the subsidized cost of an on-contract iPhone 7 already?
@snapster most of the carriers have been moving away from subsidizing the costs of phones in favor of selling them to you in installment plans.
@jbartus
Not for ppl with those fancy older plans. I have a decent one so still can get the on-contract price.
Not giving up my goddam jack that easily tho. Even tho normally bluetooth except at home. Hey Apple! Come and try to take it! Remember, open-carry in these parts.
@snapster
Perhaps one can sell a newish off-contract 6+ for close to the off-contract price of a 7 not that long from now.
@snapster not really as others have said before, even on my old AT&T grandfathered plan they were getting rid of the contracts, which is a big part of what made me start looking at switching to another carrier. T-Mobile does some scary good deals for consumers however. I just wonder if they’ll take a screen with the known touch issue for this trade-in…
@sohmageek
Don’t tell them. They test the phones. If it passes, you’re good. If you what you want is a 7.

@f00l I doubt it will pass. The screen is new but it won’t touch on some parts of it.
@sohmageek
Well let them figure that out. If you want a 7.
They might pass you. At worst you wasted 30 min.
@f00l 30 min? I’m really hoping it’s by mail. If it’s by store… I have to drive about 4 hours to a store and 4 hours back…
