Forgot to go the back way. I’m not thinking about shopping. What can’t all these alleged humans not think about shopping either, and go home so that some of us can go somewhere?
Stories to read on your phone while you are waiting for the traffic light to cycle for the 12th time but you’re still more than .5 miles from the intersection.
I wish they would just offer to do shots and spay/neuter for $10 if someone just says “my pet and i can’t afford it.” No further questions. Required by license, required that per has a license.
Then shut down a few puppy mills and charge breeders a nice amount per animal per year, and all the pets chipped, and …
One day very few “unhome-able” pets and the breed societies and no-kills could prob handle those.
I work right off the main street, the mall is fairly close by. The week before Christmas, I have to remember to either bring my lunch, or drive in the opposite direction of the mall if I want to make it back to work in time.
I (who have a headache btw) accept blame and take responsibility for the fact that traffic sux around malls this time of year and that on Sat and Sun this time of year it’s total gridlock
so I wasted almost an hour radiating bad vibes at all nearby humans other than self because I just felt like letting my feelings being petty about it for once instead of trying to find wonderful productive mental activities, because I just wanted to enjoy hating the situation that much.
Mood gotta change out and spice things up once in a while.
I am at fault for the traffic. And for my attitude. And for not putting the breaks on my attitude for once. And for kinda enjoying how po’ed I was because I almost never let self get that po’ed. And for my headache. And for the lost time in gridlock. And for not promptly taking the rap when I first got into gridlock.
A cop told me it was partially because all the parking at the mall was taken, and so people were just circling looking for spaces.
So I am at fault the the Mall didn’t have enuf spaces.
In the middle of a home improvement project, I discovered I needed an item from Home Depot. The project couldn’t proceed without it. HD is in a strip mall directly across a 6 lane road from the mall. At 2 PM on Saturday, the parking spaces on the mall side of the HD lot were packed solid. Fortunately the store side had some spaces, and I was in and out quickly, but it was scary. I could see the mall lot with cars circling, circling… I didn’t need Pokeballs that badly.
So you have to go to the mall or not?
Had to drive by it. There are back ways. Usually never need them on the weekend. Forgot to divert until too late.
@f00l
So… Do you always like causing pain to yourself?
@PlacidPenguin
Not always.
No, not every second of my existence.
@f00l I suppose you have to sleep sometimes. Not on this, I hope:
@rockblossom
Yeah. That and ADHD tendencies.

Holidays, so these are more “happy”

I recommend that last story to @Pavlov for inspiration when he sells his business and goes off-grid and anonymous/unseen.
@f00l Interesting read, thanks for the tag.
@f00l Love the pet adoption story…thanks for sharing that one.
@mehbee
If only here.

@katylava
Pfft. Canada.
@PlacidPenguin
Canada needs to stay right where it is. JIC.
@f00l
Could we move part of Canada from 2 hours north of San Diego to 1,443 miles eastward?
@katylava Ah! You beat me to it by 3 hours!
@f00l
If I remember, I’ll make a diagram representing what our continent would like like after this move.
@PlacidPenguin, @Katylava Huh? I’m clearly missing something… damn my lack of knowledge!
@earlyre
(I see room to make this an infinite loop, but I’ll spare myself the trouble of dealing with getting a headache.)
@PlacidPenguin I was mainly referring to the "part of Canada 2 hrs north of San Diego"
What is that referencing?
@earlyre
Oh.
Two hours north of San Diego is LA.
If we were to take Canada, and move it to the stretch between LA and Carrollton, numerous problems would be solved.
@PlacidPenguin o…k… not seeing the problems, and probably won’t. i’ll just take your word, and leave it at that…
@earlyre
Don’t care so much about LA, except for the coast. Beaches are good.
Just bring Canada to somewhere near Carrollton. Perhaps a little west and a pinch south.
@earlyre it’s from “how i met your mother”
@katylava extremely familiar with Robin sparkles…

People are insane.
@narfcake
This may be why I don’t like escalators which go up. (I refuse to get on them.)
But… that’s where Santa lives!
And just whose fault do you think this is? Sayin’
@Mehrocco_Mole
Ok. Yeah yeah.
Damn. Can’t have a min off.

At least they don’t have the merry spritzers wandering around anymore.
I’m going to the mall this afternoon. I’m low on Pokeballs.
Note: this thread seems timely for the current weekend.
