@sohmageek The hotel I stayed at in TN actually had one of these in the room. Sound quality was decent, and features were good. The easy, convenient charger was the icing on the cake. Worked perfectly with my phone and iPad Pro 12.9
@ruouttaurmind I picked up one of these Hotel marketed only docks directly from JBL real cheap since it was 30-pin. Works nicely with an old iPod Touch. But still not JBL Mini sound quality!
@RedOak Gosh you saying that (sound quality) makes me regret, again, that I gave the JBL mini I won to my kid for christmas (she sold it yet had a phone with a bunch of music on it, complained she had nothing and wanted something like this, sigh). I wanted to keep it but I didn’t have much for her for Christmas and thought she’d be happy with it.
@Kidsandliz It sounds like you did the right and noble thing. No regrets. Perhaps Meh will find a long lost pallet of them in a corner of the warehouse. I need a backup!
@RedOak No, but based on my limited experience in the hotel, sound quality was acceptable, plus, the dock configuration permitted docking of phones and tablets, large and small.
These:
JBL OnBeat Mini iPad & iPhone Dock & High Performance Speaker with Lightning Connector (Black)
can still be had at Amazon.
But not cheaply.

Alas… this Amazon Basics unit is not JBL Mini sound quality tho…

Here is another one if you’re serious:

I have the 30 pin version- it sounds pretty good.
@sammydog01 Agreed. We have the 30 pin version as well - it is clean sounding.
However, the clock/user interface is really quite horrible. Clearly designed by engineeers who never expected to live with it themselves!
this is $14 too much!
