Pre-apology to meh for late birthday gift
25Two years ago I had a good idea of a reasonably funny thing to make and send to meh headquarters. Last year I bought the necessary materials to make it, and got more than half-way through before I realized I’d have to figure something out. I apparently didn’t want to figure anything out, and the thing remains unfinished today. I have found… part… of it, and hope to find the rest and figure out some kind of finish this week. Then I will send it to you, and you’ll all be like, “I don’t know that this is believable as a multi-year project.” This is my plan, anyway, since I’m probably moving sometime soon-ish and don’t want to pack and move a half-finished project from over a year ago, and then store it until next July. Although that does feel very in-character for me.
Anyway, sorry for the delay. You’ll be, I don’t know, not pleased or moved with my gift, but more… accepting, I hope? Also: is the right address to send it to the return address on my meh packages?

You can just blame the delay on Pitney Bowes.
@mediocrebot I work for Pitney Bowes as their CMSAO
Chief Move Stuff Around Officer.
Sorry, I didn’t realise you guys wanted to receive your packages… I will send the guys in the warehouses a letter to let them know to deliver the packages as soon as I can find some stamps.
@mehcuda67 Crap, I could have said I mailed it last year.
@mossygreen You still can. I’m sure none of the staff have read this thread.
@mehcuda67 That’s an excellent point.
@mediocrebot @OnionSoup I feel like you missed an opportunity here to defer blame to Dejoy of the USPS. Just because you’re a scapegoat doesn’t mean you can’t point fingers.
…Hooves.
Someday, there’ll be enough former scapegoats that they’ll cover all the terrain the eye can see

@mehcuda67 We will definitely accept that answer
@mehcuda67 @mossygreen
I was told that CS was still working from home a couple of weeks ago. So Meh gets a raincheck from me. Let me know when you’re back in the office guys. I’ll send something boring.
Don’t worry. I still haven’t sent back the SASE birthday card from the first (or is that second?) birthday.
@narfcake same. I know it’s around here somewhere.
Wait! You mean the money I’ve been donating to you each month isn’t enough for you to buy yourself something really meh? Oh, I feel insulted.
I took three or four years to get them a birthday present. It was totally worth it. I think the procrastination gave it a little extra flavor, tbh.
@djslack
What, a well-aged cheese?
Or better, a nice bottle of wine?
@djslack it really was an awesome present.
POPSOCKETS! ROAD ROCKETS! SONNY CROCKETT! AWESOME!
@Thumperchick thank you. It was fun to make and give, and that was a really fun day.
I also didn’t realize this was a necro thread lol. Wonder how many of the apologies for unsent gifts are still outstanding?
Oh your moving alright so am I if I buy any more unbelievable shit that won’t sell nor fit into any crevis of the garage, spare room, or even the dining room table. A no-no yet there shit sits.
I totally know how that goes, but when you finish, it’s awesome!
VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
How would one go about addressing a birthday package to meh, and when would be the idea time to send it?
