Post Goat let down
17Without taking the blame for everything, my life is an empty shell of what it was last month. I am wandering aimlessly around the house with no purpose in life.
But then something wonderful happened. We just received an order from Bed Bath and Beyond. I open it and it was filled with loads and loads of sealed air. Some may look at this as a step up from Bubble Wrap. It opens up a whole wonderful world of options.
My life has meaning again.

TIL: Bubble wrap has been around a LOT longer than I realized - it got invented in 1957! https://www.smithsonianmag.com/innovation/accidental-invention-bubble-wrap-180971325/
@Kyeh
Maybe you could take up a hobby…
@mike808 You beat me to it on this one!
Perhaps some Saturday date night entertainment to help you set the mood with Walter and SWMBO.
Do you have a preference for “Texas air”, or for any other particular purported air source, encased with the plastic packing bubble materials you receive?
Are you an aficionado of any particular varietals?
/giphy “texas air”
@f00l There was no indication where the air in the wrap in the picture I posted came from. I do not have a preference as to the source of the air.
@f00l @Felton10 Meh used to use TX air in some packages. Generally not enough to fill the available space in the box… but as my mom always says, “It’s the thought that counts”. Right?
@f00l @Kidsandliz This wrap was in a box which contained a coffee maker and as you can see it was more than enough to not only protect the contents but to keep me in wrap for sometime in the event my IRK arriving on Monday is lacking in bubble wrap.
@f00l @Felton10 @Kidsandliz I’ve been told it’s not how you fill the availabile space but making sure the right points are covered
@f00l @Felton10 @unksol So what about the left points? You don’t cover those then? That must be why stuff breaks. (snicker - there really needs to be an emoji for that).
@f00l @Kidsandliz @unksol Seems like I heard that before several times but not about bubble wrap.
@f00l @Felton10 @Kidsandliz you’ve never had a lose package in a box that was delivered ok?
@f00l @Felton10 @Kidsandliz was not referring to the object points but the box points. I think it’s pretty central. As far as the main one. There are of course other points outside the box but… That analogy starts to break and they should be learned on an individual basis related to the box
@f00l @Kidsandliz @unksol Less have had that many times-required a lot more effort.
@f00l @Kidsandliz @unksol Yes-you have to be familiar with the box and its many stress points as well as external and surrounding factors.
@f00l @Felton10 @Kidsandliz in my limited experience if you can’t get into a box with your fingers you have no chance using a tool
@f00l @Kidsandliz @unksol Depends on the type and the size of the box.
@f00l @Felton10 @Kidsandliz regardless I think you need to start at the top and get some feedback either way then you can improve
@f00l @Felton10 @Kidsandliz @unksol
I’m enjoying the double entendres here.

I think you should invest in some of this artist’s pieces… maybe even comission a portrait of Walter!
(Same guy as in Mike808’s video.)

For those of you wondering (and for those of you who are not I am going to tell you anyway) there were were 33 individual bags of air-more than enough to indulge my every fantasy.
@Felton10
I heard Walter couldn’t walk for a week afterwards.
@mike808 He was definitely exhausted, wiped out and sore as I was.
@Felton10 Fantasies involving air? Sounds like Fenris!
