Honest question for those that might own something similar. I own a small business that includes junk removal, such a removing furniture, appliances, garage clean outs. Would this be something that would seem worth it to invest in? I’ve thought about just setting up a tripod, the iPhone X shoots in 4K anyways.
@yerti For pretty much any business purpose I can think of (making time-lapse videos for marketing, recording work so that you have a record of what was taken and/or damaged or not), your phone on a tripod is probably a better option. The limited field of view and quality on something like this means it’s definitely more toy than tool.
@Fen_Star@GLaDOS Wow, that sounds pretty sweet! Just like in the video, I can douche it up bringing and attaching my fully charged up pogocam to record a whole three minutes of drinking fancy coffee or visiting the beach. Wow…the memories to look back upon and say, “My god, the resolution is so shit that I can’t make out a thing.”
@sammydog01 I wasn’t really trying to promote the product (I had clicked the Meh button — 30 sec. video clip limit is useless), but after looking for quality samples from my own research I thought I’d share my findings with others.
That said, I still don’t know what @Hanky was referring to, unless it was just a juvenile joke. (I’m fighting through a head cold so I’m a bit slow to pickup on things right now)
@sammydog01 I figured that’s what he meant. It just surprised me at its randomness and I feared I may have missed something within the videos, especially the playlist vids because I hadn’t watched them all before posting. I had to go back and watch/rewatch them all to make sure I hadn’t inadvertently posted something that I shouldn’t have. LOL I should have known it was just an attempt at a joke.
This website will be dead soon…this is seriously the bottom of the barrel. You could buy five of these p.o.s if you really wanted to from Ali or some other crap site. The Amazon numbers are just from backyard importers using those same sites and acting as a middle man
@msujp Actually, this is nothing like the real crap cameras on Ali or Wish. Just an ill-conceived concept. They probably should have housed them in a lipstick case or pen for people who like to take candids.
@eeterrific We already have a real dog - a Siberian Husky. Chihuhua came from my parents. You know when old people decide to start downsizing and just wrap stuff from their house and give it away as presents? That’s basically how we got it…
I coined the phrase “Some times you feel like Ansel Adams, other times you feel like Andy Warhol” for my book on using digital cameras. This tiny thing definately has a LOMO feel about it for those times when you wanna be Andy. Yeah, there is a higher res version, but this thing takes up no more space than pocket lint and (as long as you don’t strap it to your head) is practically invisible to most people. Just don’t take it to North Korea.
@sammydog01 I don’t do videos. I do stills, and it holds 100.
It is kinda wide and fixed focus and you can palm it in your hand. Fun for taking a photo of something absurd in a store for my site. The adapter on display that “turns your phone into a real camera” comes to mind. Or Walmart people (which I don’t do). There are just times when whipping out even a compact camera will not be appreciated.
@OnionSoup@Zebra I dunno, maybe Meh is having an identity crisis. There are gag gifts like bluetooth speaker coffee makers (almost bought) and this, then there are things like my Incase backpack which I LOVE and got a great deal on.
I got these the last time Meh had them. Video and pics they capture are ok - which is to say what I expected. The controls are horrible though and the beeps are such a low volume the camera was really hard to use in my environment (driving).
wel, got mine a few days ago…and have to say I am pleased. The camera and charging case worked great and the pics aren’t half bad. You need to go to their website to really get a full understanding of how it works and all…but overall very saistified with my MEH purchase…oh, and don’t forget to take off the little sticky lens protector off the camera…here is a sample pic…
@susanrm and i believe there are two boxes in the envelope. one for the camera, the other for the glasses. sorry, i don’t remember more specifically, i ordered them for a friend and gave them to him before i opened it.
@susanrm sorry to hear that…let us know if it ever shows up…
BTW, the PO can do in internal scan as well…and they can tell you, by the tracking number, if it got delivered to someone else as the little carrier blue box thingy they carry records time and place it got delivered to…
@fastharry yes, they have tried that a few times but the only thing that shows up is that a big truck scanned it as arriving at their post office, but it was never scanned at their location. Right now the system just says it’s on its way. The post office doesn’t have any more info than I do.
@RiotDemon cool, as long as they eventually see it. worried it was since i did it so late at night. offhand (& unofficially!), do you know what normally happens with lost items? Could Meh send a replacement at half-price or something? I was oddly excited to try this thing out for some reason
