I don’t know why, but Iowa looked really lonely with the only speaker order, and I thought I’d share. Shoutout to the one lonely person in the heartland who is looking to connect to happiness by ordering some lame speakers. Good luck.
@stinks Okay, hang on. I’m starting to doubt the trustworthiness of these maps.
Did LonelyIowan23312 return their speaker? How can there be three states with three different fill colors if only three have been sold? Is it “meh sales per capita”? What the heck is going on here, anyhow? Is anyone really programming this thing, or is it just a giant random state buyer number generator?
@KDemo Yeah, I don’t mind not getting real time stats, but you’d think the map would have stats out of date but in sync with the total count above. Or you’d expect the total count to be accurate. Or something.
@stinks This is information. Do with it what you will. Sometimes I’m proud when my state does not buy the crap. Sometimes I’m happy how many counties in my state have bought (you can zoom in on the map).
As with pressing the Meh button, any perceived competition is within you.
IMPORTANT: The top binding posts are for height channels only. They must be driven from the channels on your Dolby Atmos enabled receiver allocated for height, and with bass management
engaged that filters off any signals below 180 Hz. These extra binding posts are NOT intended for biamping. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the top drivers and void your warranty.
Bookshelf speakers: put it next to the book you haven’t read. They won’t get you to read the book, but you’ll be able to hear its movie adaptation in 3D!
So if you have the Atmos X-15 3D 747 SHO Testerrosa black box, these speakers work. Oh, yeah, of COURSE I bought one of those black boxes but didn’t bother to get speakers for it. No wonder you’ve only sold nine sets.
@sidechain Oh wait, you forgot one. the efficiency is stellar: Sensitivity : 85 dB. Not saying that less efficient speakers can’t be great speakers, but 85dB is one of the lowest numbers I’ve seen for a speaker. You’ll need a lot more power to drive it vs something with a 92dB sensitivity.
The thing is that they are good quality and if you are looking at building an Atmos system on a budget the Andrew Jones Line of Pioneer sound awesome. I however did not go Atmos as 5.1 is plenty for my space but I did go with the big 5.1 setup from amazon on the pioneer Andrew Jones’s. That and a Yamaha Avantage reciever with a LG 4k and a Xbone s I get fun family movie nights and immersive entertainment…
I’m really torn… I have the receiver, and have been considering getting into Atmos but… we just bought a new house, and the money’s simply not there at the moment. Guess I’ll be sticking with my 5.1 for now (well, really 3.1, haven’t had the time to run the cable for the surrounds).

Speak up-- shelving this deal tonight eh meh?
I got nothing.
Unlike…
Haven’t seen a drone in some time.
remember bookshelves?! Remember books?!
if only i had some assurances that the ATMOS receiver was going to be sold
/giphy ala carte shopping please
These would make a better Valentine’s Day present than either the discount earrings or the nail buffer. Are the men of Meh just too cheap, @jasontoon?
Well… they look nice.
Wow, took a while to start selling, but California finally came through.
I don’t know why, but Iowa looked really lonely with the only speaker order, and I thought I’d share. Shoutout to the one lonely person in the heartland who is looking to connect to happiness by ordering some lame speakers. Good luck.

@stinks That’s so weird - this is what I see:
@KDemo You gotta lay off the Captain Morgan.
@KDemo Yeah, I don’t mind not getting real time stats, but you’d think the map would have stats out of date but in sync with the total count above. Or you’d expect the total count to be accurate. Or something.
@stinks
https://meh.com/forum/topics/for-you-map-lovers
@KDemo the power of the cloud… they probably have some segmentation that they will merge together with some delay.
@sligett So this is a competition, normalized by population? Am I supposed to be rooting for my state to win? To lose? Not to buy?
I don’t understand how the “whiney” thread asked for per capita normalization either, but fine. I get it. Somebody at meh can spell SQL and got bored.
But it still doesn’t explain LonelyIowan. Or the map delay for KDemo. Or David Hasselhoff.
@Barney
@KDemo Just make sure that’s not @carl669’s wodka. I’d hate to see a grown man cry.
@Barney - Ruh roh.
If he still had his wodka, he should have made a thread by now. Wery worried.
@stinks I think it’s safe to say fivethirtyeight.com is maintaining the map here.

David Hasselhoff had a cool car once.
@Barney @KDemo rum was the beverage of choice last night. however, i was otherwise occupied and failed to start a new thread. next time!
@carl669 - Rum. Yum.
Can you wire these together so the forward and upward speakers act as one?
@2many2no OK, found the answer:
Dumb question. Can these hook up to a PC?
@hiero Yes! Assuming your computer has the proper outputs.
@yakkoTDI Truisms are true.
@yakkoTDI Just standard modern audio jacks. I’ll definitely be considering this deal then
@stinks Generally speaking, truisms are true. But that would make it a generalization, not a truism. Aw, crap!
This deal makes my head hertz.
Bookshelf speakers: put it next to the book you haven’t read. They won’t get you to read the book, but you’ll be able to hear its movie adaptation in 3D!
1 hour - 4 purchases. Can’t wait to check in at Noon tomorrow - might be all-time loser loser double loser. The good new is: “There’s still some left”
@cheppy Yep, in ye olden days of yore, this item would have been called a wootoff-killer.
Take 3 for the team?
These would sell better if the title was changed to “Bookshelf, Speakers”.
These double as very nice bookends. Although, each shelf should only hold 2 at mos’.
@scorkla
I clicked meh because I don’t need such.
I reconsidered because you posted a Tuscadero cut.
Thank you.
But, I still don’t need more speakers.
Eight hrs in and only 9 sold so far…?
Ask and ye shall receive:) not to sound SUPER important or anything but I am pretty sure this entire deal is for me!!
So if you have the Atmos X-15 3D 747 SHO Testerrosa black box, these speakers work. Oh, yeah, of COURSE I bought one of those black boxes but didn’t bother to get speakers for it. No wonder you’ve only sold nine sets.
Atmos is for bitches that either have money to burn, or clearly don’t understand the setup.
5 Reasons Dolby Atmos May Be DOA
Concentric, passive, 6 Ohms. 6? Really? Thank you, no.
Hmmm, I already got the receiver, I’m not too fussed about hyper mega quality. These seem cheap. Seems perfect for me :0

its freakin groundhogs day around here. same tired list as 2016. i’m out, taking my VMP with me
MEH
spits and kicks dust
I’m really torn… I have the receiver, and have been considering getting into Atmos but… we just bought a new house, and the money’s simply not there at the moment. Guess I’ll be sticking with my 5.1 for now (well, really 3.1, haven’t had the time to run the cable for the surrounds).
Someone bought three? Looks like we have a runner.
Is this a new low in total sales?
@Cerridwyn ouch. 30 is shockingly low.
@Cerridwyn nope the prime day kindle sales were the lowest at 19 sold
$5413 total.
I’d pay Atmos $35 for Pioneer speakers.
