@GetClosure@Targaryen
apple pie with cheddar (preferably a nice sharp one) is a very yankee thing. Down here in “da sowf” they have no idea what that is about.
One year l got really ambitious and made a Pumpkin Chiffon pie and a Streusel-topped Pear pie. They were both wonderful - the streusel has some grated cheddar in it.
French Silk pie for me, please. The richer the better. Although I do love a good pumpkin pie. And, now that I hear there’s chocolate pecan pie, I’m intrigued. How rich and/or chocolatey is it?
@heartny
I’m making a chocolate cheesecake with an Oreo crust and strawberry topping for my aunts house. It’s my famous cheesecake, my family goes crazy over.
@ybmuG
had to quit doing those when we started having Tday with the daughter and her fam that are all VEGAN!
Now save the mincemeat for other occasions.
Double-crust apple, made with apples from our trees. Usually a Thanksgiving tradition but, alas, this was a bad year for our apples, plus the kids won’t make it home for Thanksgiving this year, so I’m not sure what we will have.
Pumpkin is the tradition, with home-made whip cream on top. But the favorite ever is an apple-cranberry pie with Culver’s frozen vanilla custard on it.
My sister makes a pumpkin pie for my Dad. He will have it finished in about two days. I plan on making a chocolate chess for everyone else. I think my mom is planning to make a pecan pie but I don’t know if that will pan out. She forgets things.
For the first time in at least 30 years, I made a pumpkin pie today. I flubbed the amount of crust dough, and had to swap to a smaller pie dish, which meant that I had filling left over. I poured the excess into a couple of oversize silicone muffin cups and nuked it; that works quite well.
@Lynnerizer@werehatrack My brother made a pie last week to test out baking in the Ninja air fryer toaster oven. Good thing he did that because he burned the bottom crust, so he took it off and basically ended up with pumpkin custard, like your little bonus filling cups.
I’d forgotten about my mom’s ricotta cheese pie, it’s delicious! Since I didn’t make it yesterday she made me a special treat of just the filling and it was out of this world delicious just like always! Minis the extra calories of the crust was a win win!
Pecan
@Thumperchick Nice.
Apple with cheddar on top.

Pumpkin.
@narfcake Are we already at the pet name stage?
@narfcake Yep, with whipped cream.
@narfcake @Targaryen
No, the pet name is “punkin.”
@narfcake @sammydog01
Have you seen the caramel flavored whipped cream?!
@Kyeh @narfcake No I haven’t.
/giphy must find it
@narfcake knows what’s up.
But I’ll also have a little nibble of any other pies that happen to be there.
Apple with a scoop of Cherry Garcia on top.
@werehatrack I’ll have to try this.
Apple, pecan, pumpkin or sweet potato. All of them, because… PIE!
@chienfou Oof that sugar crash must be rough?
@Targaryen

@capnjb
bought this shirt for my son years ago. It’s called reflections on Pi.
@capnjb @chienfou Proving Pi is transcendental
@capnjb The next digit is a ‘9’. You should round up.

@capnjb
@capnjb That’s a pretty small slice of pi(e). Are you dieting?
@macromeh
ISWYDT (and it’s great!)

@Doooood
very
Cheesecake. It’s kind of shaped like pie.
@heartny Because it IS pie. It has a bottom crust and no frosting. The “cake” is a lie.
@heartny

@Star2236
I can’t begin to imagine why!!
Cheesecake is usually my “go to” dessert when we go out.
Mincemeat
Yes, the real one…with meat…and brandy
@ybmuG

Maybe Bailey’s cheesecake!

After Thanksgiving, turkey pot pie is delicious!

@Kyeh @werehatrack
I’m still amazed at the things you can cook/bake in a air fryer!
@Lynnerizer @werehatrack It’s the one that’s wide so it will even fit a whole pizza:
