@heartny@mediocrebot Very impressive how the cat stood up those glasses and filled them with the remaining orange juice, though. Or had the willpower to not knock them over?
@heartny@mediocrebot@xobzoo and the chair design was flawed before the rumpus. Much like appendages on humans, Bot struggled with the limbs on the chair as well.
So they all have almonds in them except for the peanut butter ones, and those have gluten-free oats, which offends me by implying that oats could contain gluten.
@yeppers I agree, oats are naturally gluten-free. But they’re often processed in non-certified factories, so they usually aren’t certified gluten-free. Which is just fine for most wheat-avoiders, but can still be a problem for the highly sensitives.
And of course, there’s also this style of marketing:
@yeppers I’m celiac and I still avoid oats even when they state it is gluten-free. I remember when Cheerio’s advertised as being gluten-free and so many celiacs got sick they recalled them.
General Mills recalls 1.8M boxes of gluten-free Cheerios that may not be gluten-free. General Mills is voluntarily recalling about 1.8 million boxes of gluten-free original and Honey Nut Cheerios because of the possible presence of wheat, the company announced Monday.
If these don’t contain any natural OR artificial flavors, then they are tasteless??? “don’t contain any artificial flavors, natural flavors, preservatives, sugar alcohol, high fructose corn syrup, dairy, soy, or wheat”.
@TimW “Natural flavors” are commonly misunderstood to be okay, but they really aren’t (See NY times article)
The loophole, as it were, is that for nonorganic foods, the regulations do not restrict the dozens of other ingredients like preservatives and solvents that can go into a so-called natural flavor. Ultimately, because of the wide variety of ingredients that typically go into “natural” flavorings, “there does not seem to be much of a difference between natural and artificial flavors,” said David Andrews, a scientist at the Environmental Working Group, a research and advocacy organization.
@mjhvincent I was thinking a buck-a-bar not a bad deal. Especially for these ingredient specs, ~220 calories, and more protein than your average “granola” bars. Think of these as upgraded granola bars, closer to a “protein” bar.
I have gotten the oatmeal-raisin, peanutbutter and coconut ones from the snack basket at the Red Cross (after donating, not just there jacking snacks).
they are all pretty good. not overly sweet. smallish size, which is fine by me, as they are not supposed to be a meal.
if “pretty good” sounds like faint praise, I should elaborate & say that I like them and I have had them multiple times. and I have taken home an extra or two over the years. but I would not knock someone down to get the last one.
@JWhirly They have been on a streak in terms of good snacks.
What they need to do is have an end of month “Bin box” like an IRK but for all the snacks they cant sell becasue they will be expired. Open to members so shipping is covered, and maybe get a few more monthly subs out of it.
In short, it’s DALL·E. I don’t know about any Discord bots (or pricing?), but the name should get you started with what to look for.
(and now I’m curious about adding it [or another] to Discord… but I don’t want to spend money for it…)
Additionally, I noticed that @shawn posted that announcement and appeared to be knowledgeable about its inner workings.

@yakkoTDI That would be an aw*some name for a bar! The Wookie Bar… it’s Chewy!
The meh button is pre-clicked so I cannot click it again. Cannot lose my streak over a system glitch.
It is now fixed.
I can’t click the button it’s already pre clicked!
Something has gone terribly wrong
@OnionSoup Terribly terribly wrong
Meh seems to be borked
@heartny this is how the alien invasion begins. They break down our normal routines and habits so we start to panic and squabble.amongst ourselves.
The end is near!
/giphy fail
/showme Something went terribly wrong
@mediocrebot I knew the cat did it. Now it makes sense. Lol
@heartny @mediocrebot Very impressive how the cat stood up those glasses and filled them with the remaining orange juice, though. Or had the willpower to not knock them over?
@heartny @mediocrebot @xobzoo and the chair design was flawed before the rumpus. Much like appendages on humans, Bot struggled with the limbs on the chair as well.
@heartny @mediocrebot One of them is a cat. One is not.
/showme The end is near!
@mediocrebot That is one huge frikken crow.
Since the world is clearly ending… How are the rest of you planning on spending your last minutes on earth?
@OnionSoup I am drinking coffee.
@OnionSoup Feeding my dog.
@OnionSoup Waiting for my beef jerky to arrive.
/showme The end is near caused by cats
@mediocrebot Hmm. The end doesn’t look so bad, just messy.
@heartny @mediocrebot and there are cats, so it’s not all bad. I think I’m going to enjoy these end times.
@mediocrebot Looks like you guys were having too much fun herding cats and drinking margaritas to fix the site problems…
Meh is back. The button has been clicked. Life is good.
What kind of eggs are these?
@warpedrotors Over easy, obviously.
@warpedrotors likely chicken.
@mehvid1 @warpedrotors Better than Eco.
It was a close call. The bomb shelter door was almost sealed when I hit the abort.
my kingdom for a variety pack, i want to try them all ahhhhhh
We waited for this?
@sfwineguy I didn’t wait. I came. I saw trouble. Then I took an alternate route and posted a comment.
Phew! Close call there! We were minutes from widespread panic and worldwide rioting
/showme the world has been saved by cats and granola bars
@mediocrebot This is so obviously faked. The people in front aren’t even looking at the pedestal.
@mediocrebot @xobzoo Also, her zipper doesn’t align and sleeve is blurry. Scandalous!
@fondaporn @mediocrebot @xobzoo indeed our analysis and critique of Bot has taken on new perspective with recent events! When humor becomes life!
The coconut bar is the only one with a bite taken out. Hint to irk’s favorite flavor?
@atravis6 No. It turns out that Irk is allergic to coconut and he died of anaphylactic shock before he could try any other flavors.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/to-your-health/wp/2015/10/05/general-mills-recalls-1-8-million-boxes-of-gluten-free-cheerios-that-may-contain-wheat
Is this for 2 12 bar boxes (24 bars) or 24 12 boxes (288 bars)? I can do math, it’s English that gives me problems.
@hchavers looks like 2 boxes, each containing 12 bars. Or simply put, 24 bars total. Hope this helps. (I think I’ll give these a try.)
If these don’t contain any natural OR artificial flavors, then they are tasteless??? “don’t contain any artificial flavors, natural flavors, preservatives, sugar alcohol, high fructose corn syrup, dairy, soy, or wheat”.
@TimW I came here to ask this haha
@TimW “Natural flavors” are commonly misunderstood to be okay, but they really aren’t (See NY times article)
@TimW @troy Or it could just be castoreum listed as “natural flavor” on the ingredient label…
24 granola bars for $20?? Are they made of gold? Will they mow my lawn?
@mjhvincent I was thinking a buck-a-bar not a bad deal. Especially for these ingredient specs, ~220 calories, and more protein than your average “granola” bars. Think of these as upgraded granola bars, closer to a “protein” bar.
I’m telling you: this place is turning into the food aisles at Big Lots (pronounced “bih-GLOTS”). Weird “food” items with unheard-of name brands…
I have gotten the oatmeal-raisin, peanutbutter and coconut ones from the snack basket at the Red Cross (after donating, not just there jacking snacks).

Ten bucks for a box of chewy granola bars? Pass.
I have Celiac and miss chewy granola bars, so… a buy for me.
Sure, why not. Haven’t been displeased with any meh food purchases lately.
/image subdued-snobby-feather
@JWhirly really, Bot?! Feather?!
@JWhirly the bot doesn’t choose it…Google image search does.
@TimW ah, I see. Good to know the details. Either way, an interesting choice for feather!
@JWhirly They have been on a streak in terms of good snacks.
What they need to do is have an end of month “Bin box” like an IRK but for all the snacks they cant sell becasue they will be expired. Open to members so shipping is covered, and maybe get a few more monthly subs out of it.
Alright, more of a tech question but what is Meh using for the image generator and how do I get this added to my discord server?
@dave Any insights?
@dave @werehatrack I couldn’t find the original announcement (but I stopped looking after I found the better one), but this is the upgrade:
https://meh.com/forum/topics/showme-v20
