@ronnyd@ypwulby I reviewed below, but biggest problem is the pieces are all of two different shapes, so a piece can physically fit anywhere. Especially for large areas of similar color, it is maddening.
@ronnyd@ypwulby are you speaking as some kinda pro jigsaw puzzle master? I can’t imagine I’d have an issue like that as a casual user? My main question would be about the quality of the puzzle pieces. Is it anything like a Ravensburger?
@bjango@ronnyd@ypwulby Puzzle pieces are thin and fragile. Much worse quality than old Ravensburger, and worse than new Ravensburger as well. They do go together - sorta - but… expect frustration as you bend or break them.
@bugger@mike808 Perhaps bugger has done 10ea. 500 piece puzzles. Much like George Carlin said, "I’ve never done it with a “10” but one night I did it with 5 “2s” I think George used a different word that “did it.”
@accelerator@mike808 I found two 50k+ puzzles last night in my search. https://www.martinpuzzle.com/en and 51,300 Pieces 27 Wonders from Around The World puzzle on Amazon. I’m not saying they’ve done either, but they are out there.
I bought two puzzles last time they had them. I double checked and this is the same company. I would avoid these. I mean, I guess if you are really hard up for a puzzle to do, you can, but good puzzles are just $10 at Target. These puzzles are not good.
Some pieces come stuck together. All of the pieces come in like just two shapes, so they can fit anywhere. You spend a lot of time wondering if the slightly different shade of blue is in the right place.
The Puzzler who has incomprehensibly stupid puzzles for our superhero to put together to see the villain’s next target, and his sidekick Irk who always leaves a few pieces out.
@mattig88 Ahhh. That is music to meh.com corporate’s ear. Imagine getting many thousands of people to send you money for nothing every month.
Now look at them yo-yos, that’s the way you do it
You play the guitar on the MTV
That ain’t workin’, that’s the way you do it
Money for nothin’ and your chicks for free
@mattig88 When you’re looking for something, go to Morningsave, and check Sidedeal.com every day. You might find you use it more. But I’m probably going to get rid of my membership. It takes them so long to ship things out.
@conand19 I felt the same way. I had to take it apart in places several times…so glad I am not the only one. I have been hesitant to start the second one.
Absolute garbage; Pieces are all alike, many of them stuck together and tear when you separate. Artwork for many seems like it’s from one of those 90s clip-art CDs.
The donut puzzle reminded me to tell everyone that Krispy Kreme is giving a free donut to everyone who shows their CoVid vaccination shot record. You can use it once a day for the rest of 2021!
I won’t comment on the health concerns of eating a Krispy Kreme donut every day for a year. For some that might be worse than catching CoVid.
My wife and I enjoyed two puzzles out of the batch Meh offered late last year and didn’t have any of the problems other people are mentioning. Santorini was freaking difficult, though.
My mother has been looking for puzzles and I was going to pick some up for her. But she is prone to outbursts of frustration and I’ve been avoiding frustrating her for over 30 years… so I’m going to pass based on others comments. Thanks for the heads up, because now I can avoid the late night rantings from her (at least about the puzzles).
The bottom line is that you know there is some sort of issue with anything being sold on Meh. That doesn’t mean it necessarily is bad or unusable. It may just be old, obsolete or they had extra of it. It may still be of some benefit or use to you. Just as with everything you buy-cavet emptor-buyer beware.
@Felton10 I enjoyed your post immensely. Sage advice, well stated. I usually approach Meh products with that in mind and I’m prone to give them a lot of slack when I buy and also when I post in the forums.
Thanks.
P.S. THESE PUZZLES REALLY DO SUCK! You literally can’t even accurately build the outer frame because the pieces are too similar and the graphics are printed so poorly.

This is so puzzling…
@phendrick strange… Me too!
All the pieces seem to fit into place.
I have a hard time matching my clothes. Really??? I miss giranimals
Got these last time, they are truly horrific puzzles. This coming from a guy who just finished an 18,000 piece puzzle.
@ypwulby in what ways?
@ronnyd @ypwulby I reviewed below, but biggest problem is the pieces are all of two different shapes, so a piece can physically fit anywhere. Especially for large areas of similar color, it is maddening.
@ronnyd not only do any pieces fit in any places, but I got the peacock one first time around, and the image was different than the one on the box.
@ronnyd @ypwulby I bought these previously. I do not recommend these puzzles. They are IRKs in a box.
@ypwulby seriously? Damn. That’s one of the ones I still have unopened from the last (first?) go round.
@ronnyd @ypwulby are you speaking as some kinda pro jigsaw puzzle master? I can’t imagine I’d have an issue like that as a casual user? My main question would be about the quality of the puzzle pieces. Is it anything like a Ravensburger?
@bjango @ronnyd @ypwulby Puzzle pieces are thin and fragile. Much worse quality than old Ravensburger, and worse than new Ravensburger as well. They do go together - sorta - but… expect frustration as you bend or break them.
@bryane @ronnyd @ypwulby I don’t expect much quality as a casual puzzle person, but I will pass based on your comments and the price. Thanks
@ronnyd It was not a terrible change, but the one in the box has the peacock in a cage, the pic has no cage. And it is a large cage!
I only do 50,000 piece puzzles. Sorry
@bugger actually, i just started the next puzzle, the Ravensburger New york puzzle, 32,000 pieces. lol, its 18 ft long!
@bugger just buy 50 of them. Problem solved!
@bugger I call BS. You haven’t done any puzzzles. Because there aren’t any with over 50,000 pieces.

@accelerator @bugger @mike808 that’d only be 5,000 pieces. He would have to have done 100 500-piece puzzles
@bugger @mbersiam @mike808 I missed a zero! Hate when that happens! Especially those missing zeros to the left of the decimal point in my paycheck.
@accelerator @bugger @mike808 I had just read the thread about the verizon call so I had math on the brain
@mike808 Ok Sherlock, you are correct I don’t do puzzles. Because no one has made one with enough pieces to satisfy or challenge me enough. Lmao!!
@bugger You should look for the 1000 piece puzzle of the Beatles white album cover.
@accelerator @bugger @mbersiam
Hey, what’s an order of magnitude or three amongst friends, right?
@accelerator @mike808 I found two 50k+ puzzles last night in my search. https://www.martinpuzzle.com/en and 51,300 Pieces 27 Wonders from Around The World puzzle on Amazon. I’m not saying they’ve done either, but they are out there.
@accelerator @ExtraMedium
Are you calling Ravensberger liars?
Shocking that a merchant would exaggerate their wares. Much like the ex-wife.
I want the Irk puzzle!!!
@Vrysen Irk is short a few pieces of a full puzzle.
@Vrysen They’re available in IRKs only.
@hchavers @Vrysen
Ain’t THAT the truth!
That would actually be a perfect IRK puzzle. A picture of IRK with a few random pieces missing. You never know which ones.
We got these last time and my wife said at any price they were not good as all the pieces were the same shape.
Oh hell no!!
I bought two puzzles last time they had them. I double checked and this is the same company. I would avoid these. I mean, I guess if you are really hard up for a puzzle to do, you can, but good puzzles are just $10 at Target. These puzzles are not good.

I invented a new supervillain.
The Puzzler who has incomprehensibly stupid puzzles for our superhero to put together to see the villain’s next target, and his sidekick Irk who always leaves a few pieces out.
Def rather have the Meh puzzle.
My family did a few puzzles all Spring last year (doing our part and SIP), they’re not my thing. Family isn’t interested either.
Some assembly required ???
I wonder how many other members are suckers like me, paying $4.99 a month just so we can hit the meh button every day…
@mattig88 Count me in.
@mattig88 +1 so far…
@mattig88 Ahhh. That is music to meh.com corporate’s ear. Imagine getting many thousands of people to send you money for nothing every month.

@accelerator @algae1221 @mattig88
Mehmbership is for suckers. I pay an extra penny for the OG VMP. An even $5/mo. (plus a bullshit sales tax).
Suck on my V badge, loser wannabes.
Tuesday Morning is cheaper…
Got these last time. Awful!!! Pieces are all alike and will fit anywhere. We didn’t even try the the second one. Just gave it to goodwill.
@conand19 Exactly. We took one to the beach and left it there. Went to wally world and bought a real one.
at least you can look at the amazon links for pictures that do seem to show if these are the same garbage cuts.
Oh c’mon folks, please buy these! I spent a lot of time in my garage, making these on my jigsaw…
@MrNews Jigsaw puzzles have never been made with jigsaws
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jigsaw_puzzle#:~:text=Beginning in the 18th century,commercializing jigsaw puzzles around 1760.
Hmm, a corollary of Poe’s Law, I suppose…

I can photoshop better than these guys.

@Trinityscrew Thanks for your positive comment. As GOAT of the month, most of the recent comments directed toward me have gone the other way.
These photos are so low quality you would have thought meh.com made these puzzles.
Quality is garbage, I totally regret my purchase
Got my puzzles today. One of the boxes is smashed and has a hole in it…
