Photoshop/Premiere Elements PSA
9Amazon has this bundle on sale again today, $67.49 for both. If you’re interested in getting started in digital photography/artwork or video this is a pretty decent deal.

Note that they usually drop a new version around this time which is likely why it’s on sale, but their annual update is usually incremental at best. In the past I’ve only upgraded every 2-3 years.

Good stuff. Agreed on the upgrades. Been using since version 1 of both.
We only upgrade every 3-4 versions unless there is something really compelling.
And the integrated photo organizer is pretty powerful as well. When they launched it (originally a stand alone product) we made the bet it being from the maker of Photoshop - it would be a smart long term decision for our now about 30,000 photo collection (yes, that is crazy isn’t it?). Turned out to be a solid choice. Not fans of the Google alternative.
It’s up to $89.99 now.
Is it that much better than GIMP, which is free?
@ChompyGator If you need video, then yes- you get Premiere Elements as part of the bundle. Otherwise for photos, it might not matter- you probably already have all the functionality you need (unless you have an interest in an offline photo album and organizer system).
@ChompyGator it depends on what you’re using it for and how much money you have. The answer can very easily be “Yes”, though, even ignoring Elements.
Gimp is terrible if you’re trying to do anything legit. They’re not even comparable, imho.
