Our kids are getting dumber and our devices are all getting smarter. So of course, the singularity is imminent. Mediocrebot is on the bottom end of the conspiracy.
So for once Amazon reviews actually turned out to be helpful. This does indeed have a design flaw when it comes to shaving near the nose. Congrats to the designer, well done! lol
Looks like the x5000 is the last one as you climb the cost ladder that still has the blades on the outer edges.
I’ll stick to my classic double sided razor. 50 blades for $10, nice close shave, and the ever present danger of slicing a mole clean off. Sometimes the old ways are best.
@Evolucion7 I went from that to a straight razor that takes blades (I tried a straight razor that you have to maintain a blade and it sucked). This way it’s 100 blades for $10!
The main advantage of the straight razor is it doesn’t trap hair and get clogged. I had a double-edge that didn’t trap hair, but the handle broke somehow (it wasn’t even plastic), then I wasn’t able to find a replacement that also didn’t trap hair, so I went for danger instead, and I’m pretty happy with it.
So does this charge via USB? Every Norelco shaver or trimmer that I’ve owned has used the same plug-in cord for charging. The specs say it included a power cord. Is that for the cleaning device?
I just received mine. I don’t know what @DEREK_KNIGHT is on about. USB is not involved. As expected, it uses their standard plug-into-the-wall charging cable.
My insta-review: It works quite well except that the shape of the head makes it hard to get into tight places such as just under the nose. Though the pop-up trimmer does a pretty good job of cleaning up that would-be mini-Hitler stash.
A better design would be to make at least one the corners of the head not extend so far past the cutter.

@DEREK_KNIGHT
I know right? Is this a deals site or a SkyMall magazine?
@DEREK_KNIGHT lmao owned bro
Classic product writeup tonight! Give that copy writer a raise. Or maybe a pat on the back.
@ELEM A nice back shave.
@ELEM and they really did sell it well. I have a supremely proficient electric razor and I still ever so briefly considered it
@ELEM I’d like to point out that SEVEN WHOLE PEOPLE have found my review “helpful” and that I stand by my indignity regarding the chargy-blocky.
A nice electric razor, for the dashing 5 o’clock shadow at lunch.

/showme mediocrebot conspiracy
@mediocrebot Try to make us laugh it off, just what I’d expect a robot to do.
@mediocrebot @phendrick These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.
Does it come with a charging block?

@Evolucion7 I don’t miss cuts that just will not stop bleeding when I have to leave for work.

you’re an all-star
@dknight818 It’s odd how we never see any fractional people in that stat, isn’t it?

@ParadisePete
Not a general rule for them. I have 3 different ones with 3 different cords. If I lose one of the cords (which I have tried) I’m SOL.
