@5665150@isz I dropped my brother and shipped it to his office. He started working from home around then, so he got a confusing call from the office about these big boxes. He works for the state government, so there was some brief concern.
So weird - I’ve been trying to come up with reasons you’d have this much “excess pasta” for the last day and I have yet to come up with something plausible other than a music video or some fringe kink…
@Pufferfishy the list of reasons one would have this much excess pasta outside of being here or knowing someone here for pastadrop can’t be that long… I hope the FBI doesn’t come after pastadrop’s records to cross reference to people in the area.
I live in NJ and I received 500 pounds of pasta via pasta drop. I spend significant time in the woods. I expect to be questioned. I demand to be questioned.
Neighbors said that the oodles of noodles came from a nearby home that is up for sale. A military veteran moving out of his mother’s home after her death seemingly found a stockpile of old food that she had kept in the house.
Does pasta have DNA, for forensic tracing?
Did they call CSI, the Certified Spaghetti Inspectors?
If caught, the perpetrator will face charges of public noodlety.

Wow, that’s definitely a literal drop! I wonder if someone had too much left over from Meh and just decided to dump it there?
@Kyeh Pitney-Bowes just dropped their load.
@Kyeh I was worried until I read there was alphabet shaped pasta. Mediocre is in the clear.
@sammydog01 Yeah, for sure. I’m surprised - I haven’t seen alphabet pasta in years. I bet it was all old and stale!
@Kyeh @sammydog01 I’ve seen these at my local Hispanic markets:
@narfcake @sammydog01 Oh, cool.
But decided to cook it first?
@soxnabox Not cooked. They said it got soggy from being outside, but it wasn’t cooked.
@soxnabox it appears to have been removed from the bags though
I wish I understood the pasta drop before. Sadly I wasn’t eating carbs when it came in my IRK
@5665150 same
…but it made for some fun confused friends when THEY got pasta-d. And apparently some angry mail carriers.

I really should try for some sort of pun, but my brain says it’s too early.
I was just coming here to post the same article!!
@stecker me too!
Sadly… it is so wasteful

I live in NJ and this is the first thing I thought of when i seen the report this morning!! PastaDrop purge.

@Kyeh WTF keeps hundreds of pounds of pasta? Also, trash or donate them!
@callow Yeah, I wish they’d interview the perpetrator and get some sort of explanation.
@callow @Kyeh Makes nice worm food if you’re making potting soil from regular soil.
I wonder if the pasta spelled out a clue
