@Pony What really helps me save money is the increase in shipping. I look at the price and add 9 bucks to it and think “Nope!” But I have Prime, so I can get a lot of crap with free shipping.

@djslack Well, that was the intention. Originally, it was mostly direct-shipped items. Then for unknown reasons, that ended. Granted, it did have an effect …

Nowadays, the direct-shipped items are still there, albeit they go through a consolidator before being redistributed here in the states. The rest are really just regular Amazon listings, though with extra discounts from time to time.

FWIW, the keyboard itself was 11 cents.

@MrGoodGuy In the move away from one item a day, Woot can obtain their inventory with much less logistics involved. If a vendor has inventory to get rid of and it’s already in Amazon fulfillment centers, there’s zero transportation involved when selling to Woot. It’s basically an inventory transfer of however many units, and then it’s Woot’s responsibility to sell them – but with a lower purchasing cost + no inbound costs.
