@mudir_nahya Judging by the most recent reviews, it looks like you’d be lucky to get a few months to a year before the sensor and buttons crap out. Confidence also doesn’t seem high that the filters linked will actually fit right. Maybe if these were $25-$30 I’d consider risking it.
@kuoh@mudir_nahya That’s the only thing I want and need to know on HEPA filters. I need the workhorse units that you can plug in and not think about for at least 5 years.
Also to the parent comment above that: “legit replacement filters” is usually an illusion. They come out of the same factories most of the time, with only a few 1st-party filters out there being of unusually good quality (e.g. 3M Filtrete Advanced) as they are rated/tested to be used by people with serious allergies and issues.
But even then, if you have the right size for your room, even mid-tier filters lower MERV ratings often catch most things with just another cycle or two of the air through the room.
As with all things in life, consider what you need first. If you have a target size of particulate you must filter, then build around that. And then you won’t even be considering this ultra-budget bargain bin stuff anyway.
I wouldn’t count on the “Plus” filters coming back into stock, but the 8L and 10L Pro are available and from a third party (which is a good thing, as the manufacturer is no longer in business)
You can find the links for replacement filters in the main feature bullets
@ekw and, the replacement filters are not available. It seems to me meh should have put some self deprecating language into today’s offering. It is truly meh with an emphasis on crap.
(replacement filters here, but unavailable)
How do I get replacement filters if they’re not in stock? I’d have to replace it after one day in my nasty ass house! I have four dogs and two man children!
@kbandtheboys That’s why the “Plus” is the same price as the “Pro” despite being the bigger and better model. Filters are available for the 8L and 10L Pro
@kbandtheboys Unfortunately no direct-from-MFR options available, but you can buy the 3rd party replacements on Amazon using the links in the front page feature bullets
@troy I had already checked Amazon. Their page says, “We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.” Is there any possibility of the ability to clean the filters?

8-liter filters available here
10-liter Pro filters available here

@kbandtheboys pre-filters are great with animals. I buy extra pre-filters off Amazon. If you can’t find the exact size for these filters, they sell rolls of the material and you cut them to size with scissors. I have 4 cats and a long haired German Shedder (Shepherd lol). I change the pre-filter out once a week (you can put them into the washing machine, but I found hand washing them to be best, then hang to dry. Once they’re getting to be see through, time to replace.) When you change out the pre-filter, you’re also going to notice build up on the main filter. Lightly spray a paper towel with a gentle cleaner and gently wipe them down as well.
I have my main filters on 3 month auto-ship. They recommend every 6 but I think that’s without kids or animals lol. I have a feeling with your 4 dogs and 2 giant kids, you’ll need to do the same as me. 🫠
@Shhnitzel Thank you for the advice! In addition to my previously mentioned herd, I have a couple of cats and a bearded dragon. The dragon is the only one that keeps his mess to himself! Thanks to my dogs(and the lack of help from the man children)… My walls, ceiling and floors are covered in dirt and fur! It’s the animal lovers equivalent of being tarred and feathered!
Clean air using hepa filters is an easy way to improve your health. You’ll sleep and feel better, esp with pets in the house. My allergist recommended filters back in the 80s and I’ve used them ever since. You can find or fabricate replacement filters, and Walmart has always had prefilter material. It’s worth the $$!

@lonocat I want to order that model
@lonocat @pmarin It does the opposite of air purification, though.
OK Say You?
no, not me
Okaysou finalized bankruptcy court in CA June 2024. Chance of getting legit Okaysou replacement filters zero.
@mudir_nahya at least not ones that won’t come with a machine

KuoH
@mudir_nahya Thanks for doing the legwork.
@mudir_nahya @pakopako so, like me and printers, I just get a new one every time I run out of ink?
@kuoh @mudir_nahya That’s the only thing I want and need to know on HEPA filters. I need the workhorse units that you can plug in and not think about for at least 5 years.

@kuoh @midnightplatinu @mudir_nahya Just to reiterate from a later comment I made below:

Guess where I am while writing on this forum?
@hchavers inside an air filter?
@hchavers Pooping?
@hchavers @Trinityscrew https://meh.com/forum/topics/how-do-you-like-to-charge-your-phone-pad-or-cable-support-your-answer-in-the-comments#679a461bc92f3f28818536b7 I’m seeing a trend. It’s a poopy meh theme.
“They each provide 5-stage HEPA filtration cable of capturing 99.97 percent of air pollutants”
That word cable? I don’t think it means what you think it means, Try capable.
should I think it strange that the “plus” model is physically the smallest of the 3 ?
@ekw and, the replacement filters are not available. It seems to me meh should have put some self deprecating language into today’s offering. It is truly meh with an emphasis on crap.
(replacement filters here, but unavailable)
@ekw Looks like we took the dimensions from Walmart which are wrong – I’ve updated! The 10L Plus is 24" high
@troy thanks. that makes a lot more sense.
/giphy mmm bacon

@troy Thank you for the help. I bought the Pro and already set up auto ship for the filters. No more

Damn, this is a scam. I ordered the 10L Plus, and now I understand there are no replacement filters. Last time I buy something from meh.
