Either either both there needs to be a both on this one because it depends on what room I’m in when I’m charging it. I find that most of my pads die too fast and that bugs me. So I tend to use a cable at night but I have pads and several rooms that I used one of them doesn’t work anymore and I need to replace it
Swore off pads after they overheated two of my phones in a row to the point of the batteries swelling and cracking the cases. (The phone itself, not a protective outer case!)

I really wish the bot would blame the goat of the month for things, the way it did for a little while.
What was the prompt for “you’re an all-star”?
Oh, yeah - I think it’s Hey now.
Doesn’t seem to work anymore though.
@phendrick You have introduced a topic that is interesting and applicable to today’s poll. I don’t think I’ve thought about taking a crap as something I like to do but, if given options on where to crap, I could state which I like better. A panic crap at the airport when my flight is boarding is among the least liked, whereas a crap taken at home in a comfortable and private setting with no stress would be my most liked crap.
But whether you’re taking a crap or charging your device, I’m not sure if liking it is really a debatable or tangible consideration.
@mehvid1@phendrick I know, I put tangible in as an interest grabber realizing it’s not the best; it worked! From Webster: Tangible- capable of being precisely identified or realized by the mind
@accelerator@phendrick ha! Sorry I only accept Webster’s 1st & 3rd defs.
“1a: capable of being perceived especially by the sense of touch : PALPABLE
b: substantially real : MATERIAL
2: capable of being precisely identified or realized by the mind
her grief was tangible
3: capable of being appraised at an actual or approximate value
tangible assets”
@LaserEyes I’ve had 10+ people with the 4a come in in the last month for a battery change. Feels like Google’s recent update isn’t working well for some, be careful!
I use a pad located on my bedside table to charge every night. When in the car or kitchen looking up recipes or reviewing sales sites for crap I don’t need, I plug into a cable. I hadn’t really considered which one I like better but the cable certainly charges quicker and doesn’t heat up the battery. I guess I would choose cable for most liked.
@phendrick The usual. I got hooked by Woot! But when they sold out I went to One Sale a Day. I kinda lost interest in them and then of course meh came along with a Woot! feel. I’ve been here every day for a few years now.
I have a couple of vertical Qi enabled stands/pads in the house that I use frequently. Stopped leaving my phone charging by the bedside because the stray lights bug my wife. I do use a cable occasionally, even more so now that the plug cover on my case came off.
Even the holder I use in my car is qi. Can’t Bluetooth it to a 2011 Rav4.
With crimes against humanity!!
@yakkoTDI Yes it is!
Pad is convenient on bedside table

Cable is faster.
I generally use a stand, which I guess is a semi-vertical pad.
Cable is faster, plus I have a pop socket So unless i want to take my case off every night. I’ll stick with cable.
@ragingredd Same here!
@Kyeh @ragingredd I thought saying Pop Sockets was going to trigger the bot. Awesome!
LEGOS! EGGOS! STRATEGO! AWESOME!
@pmarin @ragingredd He’s not triggered as much these days. For shame.
Five shame, at least. I’ve checked the numbers.
@pmarin @ragingredd Hah, so that one still works…
@Kyeh @pmarin @ragingredd I wish the trigger for ants still worked.

@Kyeh @pmarin @ragingredd Hey now stopped working?
you’re an all-star
@pmarin @ragingredd @yakkoTDI Huh, I guess not! Maybe it has to be at the beginning of the sentence?
@Kyeh @pmarin @ragingredd @yakkoTDI
Mea Culpa- for the last 24 hours of my goat-dom [this time].
Cable connects with full power. Pad (wireless) has a lot of power loss over the short distance.
In the immortal words of Captain Kirk, “Full power Mr. Scott!!”
I don’t LIKE to charge my phone. I do it out of necessity. Do you like to take a crap?

@accelerator @phendrick tangible consideration?? Not in the sense of the word “tangible” that I’m familiar with. Debatable consideration? Sure.

@mehvid1 @phendrick
@accelerator @mehvid1 funny how palpable and palpatable have different nuances.
Got some very powerful pads, so it’s more convenient. Cables also around mostly for iPad, so it depends where I am.
My phone is a Pixel 4a, so I can’t charge it wirelessly.

Any recommendations?

I’ve tasted 100w SuperVOOC charging and can never go back
An extension cable that leads to my neighbors outlet
@pakopako def worthwhile for an electric car
