@Pony Was thinking the same thing (about the knee pillows, not the “unfair” thing…). I use a knee pillow sometimes, but can’t figure these out based on the pictures. Guess for the price it’s worth a shot.
I have been sleeping on a U shaped pillow for 4 or 5 years. Never been pregnant. Bought a whole pillow system with a wedge that came with it, but could never sleep on the wedge, too large for me. But the U pillow fixed all the problems with my arm that I’d been having. I’m buying the C shaped pillow because the price is crazy good and I like the bolster. I currently use a stuffed animal for the same purpose. The bottom of my pillow always slips out from between my legs, so this different shape looks like it will fix that problem.
But seeing this random ad (appears to be from China) reminds me an absolutely wonderful movie that people either appreciate or don’t get at all, Lost in Translation with Bill Murray (in a serious role; not comedy) and a very young Scarlett Johannsen (19 at the time I think). Murray’s character as a known actor is trying to get another “real” role but all he seems to get is doing TV ad promos for whiskey in Japan.
On HBO MAX currently. I recommend it highly, but first time you see it, it might not sink in, and might take days or years (or never) depending on where you are in your own life and relationships.
@Kyeh I saw that movie about a million years ago and I remember liking it but that was a lifetime ago as far as marriage and kids and everything, so I am going to rewatch it right now-but wait, first: buy this pillow set or skip it??
I’m confused about the wedge pillow… it seems like it is double what it should be. I like to sleep with a pillow under my knees (suggested use) but by the picture it seems like I’d have a pillow under my knees AND under my feet. I feel like I’m missing something.
@kknuutila You can either double it up by folding one side underneath, or just cut the middle out and have two little wedges. I’ve revised that section to help clarify:
This one has two wedges. It’s great for side sleeping and for pregnant
women supporting your frontside and your backside. You can double it
up and put it under your knees to raise them. Or you can just cut out
the middle and be left with two little wedge pillows that can be used
to elevate your back, knees or a great little lap wedge for computer
sessions in bed.
I want to say that I love getting a SINGLE offer from Meh every morning.
I HATE getting a second pitch in the afternoon. This may add a little to your sales, but it will inexorably increase the number of people who unsubscribe. Can’t prove it, but I know it’s so…
I’ve been wanting to try the C or S-shaped pillow concept, and for $26, I’m going for it. I’m a side-sleeper, and I’ve been using a cheap ($5) chopped foam pillow between my knees for some time. It’s only moderately comfortable, and the pillow often slips away in the night. I’ll see how the C-shape works, and if it’s a no-go, it will become a cat bed…
@MrNews Well, the cat determines what makes a good cat bed. Some look warm and comfy (like a pile of fresh clean laundry from the dryer – but even I’d want to crawl into that!) and some cat decisions are just like “what, how can that be comfortable?”
Cats sleep anywhere,
Any table, any chair
Top of piano, window-ledge,
In the middle, on the edge,
Open drawer, empty shoe,
Anybody’s lap will do,
Fitted in a cardboard box,
In the cupboard, with your frocks-
Anywhere! They don’t care!
Cats sleep anywhere.
@Mandamm When first unrolled, they can take a couple of hours to reach 80-90% of normal, and may need to sit overnight. (I had the same issue with a mattress topper.)
@Mandamm@werehatrack Didn’t get mine yet but often figure 2-3 days to fully “bloom.” Also some (not as much recently) will do some “outgassing” and so I try to do it outdoors (under covered porch or something).
@Mandamm Yeah, its still flat. I think it’s the design. I even threw it into the dryer, which usually puffs up anything.
They are absolutely LYING when they say it’s filled with memory foam, it is NOT. It’s just polyester fiberfill.
I have a different U shaped pillow that actually has memory foam filling and I shoved that into the casing for this new one and it’s perfect. I tossed the original inside pillow into my closet because it’s useless.
@Fuzzalini@Mandamm@runwithscissors I see some conflicting info online for these - with Target stating 100% Memory Foam and others saying it has a memory foam center supplemented with fiberfill. I apologize for any disappointment and will be talking with the buyer on these items on Monday to verify all fill materials.
@Mandamm@RunWithScissors@troy looking at the pillow now, I can see that there might be a small amount of memory foam in the center, but the vast majority of the pillow is made up of poly fiber fill.
just got my C-pillow today and I’m really ANGRY that this was SO misrepresented as being memory foam! I feel totally defrauded, and would never have ordered it if I’d known it was really just a bunch of fiberfill (that’s nowhere NEAR ‘fluffy’, but is flat & lumpy)!
Received my wedge pillow yesterday. It’s been open for more than 24 hours. It’s still very thin and not wedge shaped on either side. Although my regret at this purchase is growing, the pillow is not.
My wedge pillow came this morning and like the others it is very thin and not at all a wedge. It reminds me more of a very flat car seat. The between the knee pillows seem nice though.
Extremely disappointed in my purchase of the C Pillow. I was so excited to finally get one but it is so flat it does absolutely nothing for me. I let it sit the entire weekend as we were away camping and it didn’t fluff at all after sitting. Total waste of money!

Good job @mediocrebot!!
In for the knee pillows. I have one, but these are a different shape, and I am intrigued.

I’m thinking one of these must be something I need, but I have no clue which.
Gonna give a try to the knee and body pillows

@pmarin Suntory whiskey changes your gender?
@Kyeh Hey, it’s a new world out there.

@pmarin I’ve heard of that movie, just haven’t watched it yet. It does sound like something I’d like.

@fewhitrecords Are you sleeping comfortably or could you use some extra padding here and there? Worth a try, I guess …

Got the body pillow. It is ridiculously flat.
@Mandamm How long has it been since you removed the shrink wrap?

@Mandamm Got two C-Shape pillows. Can confirm, not memory foam. I have lots of memory foam filled items - this is not.
