@Aspirant_Fool I was kinda wondering the same thing, but for cocktail recipe that are for an absinthe rinse of the glass. Then I checked Amazon and I can get one for $20 from Barfly
@RiotDemon That was my thought, too. Is it worth it to try so that we could have a portable nebulizer? Im not sure. I wonder how long it runs on one set of batteries
@RiotDemon@togle It’s a type of nebulizer. We have an older model for my kid. Works well. Fabulously portable. Change batteries about twice a year. Does her breathing treatment in about half the time
@asplus@awk@OnionSoup, I believe they already announced that they will be handing out infectious petri dishes at the rallies (for a nominal fee, of course) to help prove it’s all one big media hoax.
Ooh. I’m asthmatic and I definitely like the idea of a portable nebulizer. I had one, but it was definitely low end and had issues. I’ll give this one a shot.
@lyoness This is an ultrasonic that you can put meds in. I would suggest that you talk to your doctor first. I’m a Registered Respiratory Therapist, if that helps.
@katbyter@Tadlem43 It is now been well know as using such devices or products produces long term effects - lung damage, seizures or even addiction duh.
@katbyter I would suggest that you talk to your doctor if you need medication.
I personally, use a room ultrasonic (like a humidifier), but for my treatments, I use an inhaler. I have a nebulizer, but right now I don’t use it.
Every person’s needs are different, though, so discuss it with your doc.
@katbyter@whomeyesu
The difference between this and a regular nebulizer is how it functions to make the mist. This has a vibrating disc in it that makes the particle sizes much smaller than a regular nebulizer.
As far as what you put in it, or if this is something you really need to look at using, I would suggest talking to your doctor. Some people can’t tolerate this.
@katbyter The term ‘nebulizer’ usually refers to a jet nebulizer, one that has air or oxygen tubing going to the bottom of a cup and a mist is formed by the air hitting a baffle.
An ultrasonic is one where the mist is generated by a very fast vibrating disc. It’s simply the difference in how the mist is made. (There are some ultrasonic room humidifiers, too.)
The other difference is the particle size. An ultrasonic’s particle size is about 0.3 microns…tiny, tiny! For that reason, you need to talk to your doctor before using one for medications. For SOME asthmatics, the tiny mist can make things worse during an attack, or even create an attack.
Yes, a lot of oil diffusers use ultrasonic, but some simply have a fan that blows air over the oil, some heat the oil, and some nebulize the oil. All of them put oil into the air…but it’s NEVER a good idea to breathe in any kind of oil!
Does that help?
@MrJazz Sadly, after Woot became Amazon’s bitch. . .cleverness was no longer allowed. Sadly, it was shunned to make way for political correctness. I can’t even self-deprecate without offending someone or something. I miss humor.
@haydesigner@MrJazz Clerness was minimized nonetheless. Increased visibility from the “Woot sell-out” begat the crackdown in hopes of appeasing the “Karens” of this world.
I’m just probably the only one that still cringes at attempts by corporate America to lecture me on “acceptable” behavior and morality.
Groovey! This is a great portable nebulizer. Proair 100.00a month. Albuterol nebuls, $8.00/mo. Albuterol inhalers are 15-20/mo everywhere else in the world except here in murica.
@Tadlem43 As nouns the difference between atomizer and nebulizer is that atomizer is an instrument for reducing a liquid to spray or vapor for disinfecting, cooling, medical use or perfume spraying while nebulizer is a device used to convert liquid into a fine spray of aerosols, by means of oxygen, compressed air, or ultrasonic vibration; sometimes also referred to as an atomizer.
@cranky1950 The difference being discussed is between a nebulizer and an ultrasonic.
A jet nebulizer is usually referred to as a ‘nebulizer’ where tubing is attached, the air or oxygen hits a baffle, and makes the medication in a cup into a mist. The baffle is sometimes referred to as an atomizer by laypersons.
An ultrasonic makes a mist by a very fast vibrating disc, breaking up the particles into minute droplets, about 0.3 microns in size.
Ultrasonics are not atomizers.
I’m a Registered Respiratory Therapist. I can give you articles, if you’d like. (not Wiki)
You charged me $5 for domestic shipping that takes over 2 weeks? I’ll never buy from you jerks again. You should spend less time thinking up clever or funny comments (that aren’t funny) and spend more time processing your orders.

/youtube Faith Hill Just Breathe
Does it work with gin? Asking for a friend…
@Aspirant_Fool Nah it only works with Juice! Replying as myself for a friend of a friend.
@Aspirant_Fool I was kinda wondering the same thing, but for cocktail recipe that are for an absinthe rinse of the glass. Then I checked Amazon and I can get one for $20 from Barfly

Wow. Maybe this isn’t the right time to be dumping the pseudoscience medical devices stock?
So… It’s a nebulizer?
@RiotDemon It looks like a tiny nebulizer to me. I am intrigued, but not convinced it’s worth buying.
@RiotDemon That was my thought, too. Is it worth it to try so that we could have a portable nebulizer? Im not sure. I wonder how long it runs on one set of batteries

@mctpac Fantastic to know! Thanks for the info
Gussy it up however you want, the question is: can I do drugs with it?
Can I use this with bleach to clean the 'rona out of my lungs?
@awk it’s more effective if you just inject the bleach directly into your lungs using a really big needle through the chest cavity.
@awk @OnionSoup Or go to the next rally and have the President do it for you. I am sure he would love to do a demo to show how it works. Just sayin’
@asplus @awk @OnionSoup, I believe they already announced that they will be handing out infectious petri dishes at the rallies (for a nominal fee, of course) to help prove it’s all one big media hoax.
So is it a nebulizer for use with ALBUTEROL etc?
What on earth is this and what is it for?
@pmcgrane kids these days, with their weird drug machines! I blame the parents!
I like the idea of a small nebulizer, but not with a 90 day warranty. Meh.
“Price Comparison

…and nobody else anywhere sells it?..
@phendrick you’re right. It’s $34 from those money grubbers at MorningSave
@Bcburk @phendrick 105.99 Canadian dollars at amazon.ca
@cpietra… so… about $2.73 in US money?
How long should a person expect this to run on one set of batteries? Should I expect to pack a case of AA’s to use for each vial of albuterol?
Too soon. Too soon.
@mike808 My god, so it wasn’t just me.
@LinnE @mike808 Okay, what did I miss?
@Citymars @LinnE
Eight minutes and 46 seconds.
Here is an instructional video.
Ooh. I’m asthmatic and I definitely like the idea of a portable nebulizer. I had one, but it was definitely low end and had issues. I’ll give this one a shot.
@lyoness I’m pretty sure Meh is not the place to buy your high-end medical supplies…
@lyoness This is an ultrasonic that you can put meds in. I would suggest that you talk to your doctor first. I’m a Registered Respiratory Therapist, if that helps.
@Tadlem43 So as a respiratory therapist, would you say this type of product be advisable for really any type of use?
@katbyter @Tadlem43 It is now been well know as using such devices or products produces long term effects - lung damage, seizures or even addiction duh.
@Tadlem43 @whomeyesu Assuming that depends on what you’re putting in it…
I wouldn’t want to become addicted to being able to breathe…man.
P.S. this isn’t a vape
@katbyter I would suggest that you talk to your doctor if you need medication.
I personally, use a room ultrasonic (like a humidifier), but for my treatments, I use an inhaler. I have a nebulizer, but right now I don’t use it.

@mmary147 I didn’t say it was.

Just add vodka and breathe.
Not currently available on Amazon…FDA or CVS probably won’t allow such product luckily meh’s got you covered if you trust meh that is.
Women I know what your thinking that’s an expensive vibrator. I’m sure there’s cheaper options actually available on Amazon.
If you put bleach in it, will it kill the covid? Asking for a friend…
@somf69 The President personally confirms it - a friend of a friend told me
@asplus @somf69 It’s legit. It was on OAN, and they don’t lie.
Looks to me like the manufacturer doesn’t know how to spell breath.
This asthmatic is excited!
I have a model similar to this (portaneb - https://www.aura-medical.com/product/aura-portable-nebulizer/) and it really helps my son. Not sure how good one costing 1/5 of it will be
@jessedh A nebulizer and an ultrasonic are two different things.
@Tadlem43 what is the difference between nebulizer and ultrasonic? Isn’t ultrasonic what they use in essential oil diffusers?
@katbyter The term ‘nebulizer’ usually refers to a jet nebulizer, one that has air or oxygen tubing going to the bottom of a cup and a mist is formed by the air hitting a baffle.

Can this device discretely nebulize toxic substances in an office while the user sits in their cubicle wearing a gas mask? Asking for a fiend…
Will this play Misty for me?
grabbed one for my 75yo mother with the copd. maybe now her morning walks can be longer than half a block and back.

@Noddy93 Talk to her doctor first!!
As a COPD sufferer, I wanted to read all the remarks.
All I can say is the original Woot! crowd was more clever pundits and fewer knuckle draggers. sigh
@MrJazz Sadly, after Woot became Amazon’s bitch. . .cleverness was no longer allowed. Sadly, it was shunned to make way for political correctness. I can’t even self-deprecate without offending someone or something. I miss humor.
@coastieretired @MrJazz, it had NOTHING to do with political correctness. It was all about maximizing corporate profit.
@haydesigner @MrJazz Clerness was minimized nonetheless. Increased visibility from the “Woot sell-out” begat the crackdown in hopes of appeasing the “Karens” of this world.

That last picture is weird.
Works with all inhalers? So I dont need to buy the liquid albuterol?
@neressa9 Talk to your doctor, but yes, you’d need the liquid albuterol. Ultrasonic isn’t for everyone.
@Tadlem43
But my doctor gets like $600+ an hour.
@caffeine_dude lol I wish!
