Non Traditional Christmas Music

Working retail has made me really tired of a lot of Christmas music. This year I’m really burnt out on Michael Buble and a few specific songs I can’t even think of cuz my brain is fried.

I like Christmas stuff that’s different. What about you? Share some non traditional stuff!

A song about Christmas, but not something one would think of when you mention Christmas music.

More mainstream, I do like Trans Siberian Orchestra, and Mannheim Steamroller.
Also, one time I heard a version of Feliz Navidad by a different artist.

Today when my family came over we got into a battle of asking Alexa to play different types of Christmas music. At one point I asked Alexa to play gangsta rap Christmas music and she said sure and started a song. My sister made her stop before I could find out if it really was a gangsta rap Christmas song, though.

The battle ended abruptly when my 6 year old nephew decided he had enough and just yelled out “ALEXA STOP THE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!”

I also work in retail, and I am so over the Christmas music. It’s 935 covers of the same dozen songs. One of them was Hark the Herald Angels Sing and halfway through it turned into this pop song thing. It was atrocious. Its like putting a bass drop in the middle of Vivaldi or something. Christmas music should just go away, unless it’s TSO.

Though lately I have wanted to hear All That Remains do some Christmas stuff, because that would be pretty interesting. Closest I can think of to it would be Jingle Hells Bells.
