Non Political Reason Not To Use FedEx
3So Meh, here is a current order of mine. I am waiting patiently but FedEx is the equivalent of a politician when it comes to shipping and delivery. Fedex makes all kinds of promises, offers you a great deal if you just let them have your package. Politicians offer you all kinds of promises if you just elect them. Then the real stuff happens, promises are broke, packages are late, politicians don’t or cannot keep their promises. Instead of switching to something other than FedEx or electing a different politician we stick with the status quo. So here it is Meh my package, look at the pictures and see if you can tell me what the heck these idiots are doing.

@bleedmichigan Are you in Sparrows Point, MD? Looks like it will be there tomorrow. What’s your weather like? Are you in a rural, icy location?
@therealjrn not in Sparrows Point. The weather is fine here, heck I got a FedEx delivery today the i rerouted to a FedEx office because the driver has a tendency to leave large items next to the road and simply NGAF.
I was speaking more to the multiple occurrences of the item being on a truck for delivery only to return to the terminal without a delivery attempt.
Maybe it gets here tomorrow maybe not previous experience tells me that FedEx has less than a 33% chance of delivering it tomorrow.
@bleedmichigan My local FedEx office uses contract drivers. Maybe yours does too? Some are better than others…maybe see if you can talk to a boss at FedEx?
@bleedmichigan @therealjrn ALL FedEx delivery drivers are contract Drivers. by that i mean they aren’t FedEx employees, but independent contractors. They had to buy the route, and their truck. they are self employed.
@bleedmichigan @earlyre I did not know that.
Seems to have been some confusion during the hand-off to USPS… Shipped via FedEx SmartPost, so USPS normally does the final leg. It looks like FedEx will actually be bringing it to your door. Is that typical for you?
@medz nope according to FedEx who I just got off the phone with USPS is to busy right now and they want me to drive to the terminal to get the box. After 30 min on the phone with them they will drop it off at the FedEx office 10 min from my house tomorrow or Friday. Yeah really tomorrow or Friday. I have previously spoken to these idiots because I have a camera that looks over my driveway so I know my 11 year old has safely gotten home from school if I am stuck in traffic and was able to prove twice that the driver scanned a package and never delivered it.
Looks like the result of the delivery company doing some internal procedural changes. There may be confusion within the company in terms of who does what with what.
