@wanderers that’s one way. But if you blanch them and let them cool, they will keep their shape so you can then slice them and fry them, cube them for things like soup. A lot like what you might use tofu for. All this, mind you, I have never had the inkling to do, just know it can be done.
Actually surprised this is for sale on meh at all. It was the go to gift last year. Impossible to find in the stores. Paid $ 149 at BJ’s which is $ 40 off the regular price. This is a really good deal and a good product that takes the place of a lot of counter cluttering items.
@Felton10 We love ours and we got it on a cnet deal for $200 at amazon. Best carnitas in an hour! It is huge though. It takes up most of a lower cabinet in the kitchen.

@ihatemeh I do small amounts and usually use pot in pot cooking where I put the rice in a stainless steel bowl on a rack in the cooker. Easier to clean up that way. You do have to remember to put water in the cooler not just in the bowl or it won’t come to pressure.
@bigevilgrape@ihatemeh We do it in our microwave, in an open Corning-ware casserole, 5 minutes on high, 20 minutes on 50%., using 2 cups rice, 4 cups dihydrogen-oxide, and a dash of salt, (we also almost always add a large dab of butter, several heaping tablespoonsful of Herbox Sodium-free chicken bullion granules, and a few grinds of black pepper).

I only did a better job of it once I had a kid as DHS takes a dim view of starving your kid or filling them up on the same 3 things over and over. Maybe a bit TOO full-featured. Just got an Insta-Pot compatible unit (Insignia) at Best Buy for $29- works great! Of course no air-frying, yogurt-making, or ninja skills, but perfect for my meager needs (and budget).

It turns out they were actually a band of two-toed sloths looking to score good jobs in Texas. (You can’t tell these sorts of things from a LinkedIn profile, apparently). They had pretty good disguises, though, so by the time management discovered the ruse the sloths had already unionized and have a lot of staying power.
They’re getting better, but getting back and forth to the warehouse from the mandatory breaks every 30 minutes really puts a ceiling on productivity.

@myi Does the order still show up on the support contact page? Select “a purchase” at the top and another menu will appear listing specific orders. All the orders I’ve canceled (thanks to common sense catching up to me after an impulse buy) still appear there, so even if it was canceled on their end it might still appear.
For everyone who is bummed about missing this, I saw the 6.5 quart version at Sam’s Club today for $159. It’s not the smokin hot deal this was but it’s not a bad price.

first run at st. louis pork ribs was a hit, but the foodi ribs recipe is just “let’s cook this sorta enough” (19 minutes pressure cooker, meat was still a little tough and not cooked through). Add 15-20 min to that for fall off the bone amazingness
Love the Ninja Foodi. Use this 8 qt as well as a 6 qt for almost all of my meal prep. Rare to turn on an oven.

Got a notice showing mine was canceled. My order was earlier in the day also. Is this normal to cancel orders and without contacting the customers?
@aham83 How can you get a notice without being contacted? Did meh put a personals ad in the local paper?

Meh removed the entire order from my history, doesn’t even show I purchased it.

Curios how long it takes for meh CS to answer? Being that the only way is with email to contact CS.
@myi They don’t work the weekends so probably not until Monday.
@myi Does the order still show up on the support contact page? Select “a purchase” at the top and another menu will appear listing specific orders. All the orders I’ve canceled (thanks to common sense catching up to me after an impulse buy) still appear there, so even if it was canceled on their end it might still appear.
@lljk Yes it does come up there. Interesting that I can’t see it, but when writing to customer support I can see it.
For everyone who is bummed about missing this, I saw the 6.5 quart version at Sam’s Club today for $159. It’s not the smokin hot deal this was but it’s not a bad price.

@therealjrn me too. My wife did say sure, if we get rid of the equivalent appliances. If not for the reviews that say it doesn’t last that long I’d jump on that. I don’t want to be buying regret 13 months from now.

With no information my guess is some sort of fraud thing might have been triggered.
@djslack @myi probably the simplest answer - a cc issue (cancelled due to suspected fraud, expired, etc.). Or like mine, Home Depot thought I was dead.

Thank God back up and running, wallet being emptied deal after deal! Lol

Got mine today. I’m in Texas, if that’s worth anything. Maybe they shipped to more local addresses and cancelled those further away due to shipping costs being greater than anticipated???

Just got it yesterday (Texas) and made some breaded drumsticks (all air fried- 25 minutes). Tasted great. Thanks meh for the insane deal!
first run at st. louis pork ribs was a hit, but the foodi ribs recipe is just “let’s cook this sorta enough” (19 minutes pressure cooker, meat was still a little tough and not cooked through). Add 15-20 min to that for fall off the bone amazingness

The feet made weird white marks on my butcher block counter. I can sand them off, but still.
