Here’s a Fun Fact for You
The origin of the coffee bean can be traced back to the early 9th century in Ethiopia. Around that time, coffee beans were popularly chewed by Ethiopian tribes in order to feel the bean’s stimulative effects. The practice of chewing coffee beans has now gone to the wayside, as we’ve gladly abandoned it for our pumpkin spice lattes and caramel macchiatos. The only exception is our hipster intern, Salinger, who gladly chews coffee beans while reading “The Atlantic” through his thick-rimmed glasses and listening to vinyls of the Brazilian samba rock band, “Novos Baianos.”
@awk Yeah, this doesn’t appear to be one of the electric ones that heats and froths. Honestly your best bet for an inexpensive one is a Bodum electric frother; we bought at Target for about $25. I see one now listed at 30 but with 15% off would be about 25. Works pretty well.
The cleaning light is user error…when you do the full procedure correctly it goes away every time…most people skip the rinse cycles or don’t press the buttons correctly which resets the light. Had mine for 3 years now and I love it! Makes great coffee and it’s fast compared to others I’ve owned. I’m debating buying another just to steal the stainless carafe and gift the Ninja with my glass one…in true meh fashion.
If you run straight water through this machine, it can be used to make some excellent kara-tea. If you have red hair and use this machine, then it’s called a ginja.
How I brew my coffee? Behmor Brewer, and never looked back. It can brew to your specified temperature and has programmable pre-soak. Simple, easy brew prep and EASY clean. Glad I have it or I’d be considering the behemoth being offered today.
@mehorama Thanks for the info. Can you now tell us how you get dressed in the morning? 36% give the Behmor ONE STAR on Amazon. 50% give it ONE STAR on Bed Bath and Beyond
@arfdawg Just responding to the survey asking for comment. I remember seeing neg Behmor reviews back when my husband and I were trying to decide. We decided to pull the trigger and so glad. We’d gone through soo many bad brewers that french press ended up being our sole method. And, I’m already dressed by the time my timer-set Behmor is done.
We have very hard water here. So hard that Starbucks had to buy a $75,000 water softener because the water was destroying their equipment. A coffee machine doesnt last a year here – even with monthly descaling. I buy $30 Aicocks and they make great coffee for a year before I have to buy another. To buy a Behmor, it would have to survive 10 years. Would never happen
Best Buy has this Ninja on sale today for $59. It has the glass carafe which i like better because you have a heating plate and it is easier to see how much coffe you have left. $59 at Best Buy is a steal, this is def a meh deal here.
@107proof No they don’t. The one at sale at bestbuy is a standard 12 cup coffee maker. Certainly not the same model and nowhere near the same amount of features as the one meh is selling
@aetris@totino87 that is sold by discount merchant not Walmart. Apparently anyone can list on Walmart.com. Kind of like amazon. Have to be careful who you order from.
I loved this coffee maker while we had it but I gave it away to friend because ninja has a newer coffee machine that also makes tea. Love the newer version with a built in frothier better.
The clean light wouldn’t turn-off after a quick clean with white vinegar and then long clean with vinegar and then descale two more times. Had unit for three weeks before the clean light came on. Called Ninja and they’re sending replacement within five business days. Used it daily for morning coffee.

Boy, another 3.2 star Amazon reviewed item. Talk about meh.
/giphy meh is who we thought they were
@stinks How many of the negative reviews are related to the 5 beeps and/or the cleaning light staying on?
(It’s related. Also it’s why I was able to buy a pretty clean CF020 Coffee Bar for
$40$20$10 at a thrift store. It needed a cleaning.)Can I get the milk frother by itself? I always wanted one of those.
@awk French press back and froth…

@awk @dickie541 Yeah, and try to clean that afterwards
No I.V. kit- no deal.
Wow that’s some impressive shit. Needs a few brass angels and shiny things if they want to be serious about latte.
Ninja Chop! the coffee beans.
That’s quite a badass looking coffee system. Almost makes me sorry I don’t drink coffee.
Ninjas are so great. I had no idea they made coffee makers too.
@bugger so you live in a cave?
too high for me, I have low cabinets.
@kalfaz a push up bra will fix that
@arfdawg @kalfaz As will a banana hammock.
What? No Bluetooth speaker? Pssssh! No thanks!
@TheTwizz the blue tooth is in your mouth after drinking the swill

@deanx2009 why would you skip the rinse cycle when you’re putting chemicals in the machine to clean it?
Bean water never tasted so good
@hafner You haven’t dranked bean water until you’ve dranked Kopi Lewak.
Is this a refurb or are you selling a bunch of used never refurbed ones? Doesnt seem to say anywhere.
@arfdawg Condition states new on this page
@MrMark It sez it’s new on Amazon, not here. I can’t find any new/used/refurb description for this. Amazon is selling a lot of used ones too!
@arfdawg @MrMark Under more specs it says NEW.
@bboyyak1 @MrMark He, you’re right! Need to read the fine print next time.

@totino87 yep. Sorry. You are right. However Walmart has this one refurb for $69. And if you don’t like it. Easy return to Walmart. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ninja-CF080-Coffee-Bar-Brewer-Maker-w-Glass-Carafe-Certified-Refurbished/880319337
@107proof @totino87 - Not only does Walmart have a different coffee maker refurb’ed at a lower price, they have this very unit for only $200 more:

@aetris @totino87 that is sold by discount merchant not Walmart. Apparently anyone can list on Walmart.com. Kind of like amazon. Have to be careful who you order from.
@107proof - that’s the only CF086 that comes up when I search Wally World.
Seems like a bit of overkill for my occasional (read fall/winter) mug of hot tea!
EVEN COFFEE DIDN’T EXCITE ME FOR THIS.
Does Sophia Viagra personally deliver this, and provide help getting the creamy frothing, that sticks to the lips, just right?
