New inflatable canine!
27I know y’all love seeing my blow up friends, so I’ll share my newest companion, who arrived yesterday: a big inflatable corgi float from Good Boy Floats! Isn’t he adorable?? He’s at least 7 feet long, super soft and snuggly, and big enough to nap on…you can even use his little butt tuft/tail as a pillow! His head is a separate air chamber, to take excess stress off his seams. It was just warm enough today to allow me to take him outside for some photos. I could seriously fall asleep laying on him…he is just that comfy!

@PooltoyWolf I’m curious, do you have a pool or would you even consider using them for that? Maybe you would take them for a swim before using them to float on, idk?
@Lynnerizer I wish I had a pool! I actually only very rarely get to swim.

@Lynnerizer @unksol That’s fun! Fenris has been swimming in Lake Lanier, among other lakes. Always a blast.
@Lynnerizer @PooltoyWolf Fenris doesn’t look passenger ready though. Where as this is clearly a pool float with a separate neck. Might do well as a pool/lake toy where kids are… Less gentle

Looks like fun was had by all or most everyone anyway! I DO have to admit, I kinda feel bad for Fenris. I only know him through your eyes, (obviously) BUT, i’m not sure I like the way everyone is jumping on him. His poor legs are bent sideways for goodness sakes!

@Lynnerizer @unksol Awwww, thanks for your concern! Fen is a tough guy, but every once in a great while, there are mishaps. Fortunately he takes it in stride and is repaired and back at it in no time. I do tell people not to grab at his legs from down in the water to get onto him (that can hurt him) and to not hold on if they fall off. Almost everyone is respectful. I have also added reinforcing vinyl strips along the seams on his legs, for added protection.

@Lynnerizer @unksol Yep! That’s a slang term within our inflatable community that basically means a toy that has been reinforced extensively.

I don’t know what happened, usually i’m super observant. It wasn’t until just now that I noticed Fenris’s paws, they make him that much more realistic! …lovable!
@Lynnerizer @unksol Yes!! He has pawpads on the bottoms of his feet! Each paw is also double-layered (two layers of vinyl) to help resist punctures when he’s standing on unkind surfaces.
He’s adorable! Love the little heart tail. Does he have a name yet?
All the green stuff outside is also nice to look at.
@callow No name yet! Also I guess it is still a bit greener than most folks up north are used to at this time of year. It was in the mid-60s when I took these.

Fenris comes from mythology so this thus fits

@Kyeh Inflatable canines in particular, or inflatables in general? For the former, at least a couple dozen…the latter, I couldn’t put a number on. Easily 100 individual items!

I’m certainly not the one to judge - I don’t even want to count how many miniature houses I have, how many fonts of metal printing type, how many pieces of quilting fabric… and that’s not even getting into my closet to look at clothes and shoes! BTW, I’m kind of disappointed we never got to see last month’s goat’s fab shoe collection.

Yes ever since I saw an incredible exhibit of his work at the Whitney museum in the 1980s he’s astonishing
Has it confused any real dogs? There is a neighbor with dogs in her Christmas display and the dogs all ran over to smell them when it was new. (smelled nose and butts, they really needed to make sure)
@dontwantaname Not the corgi, but I do have a few much more realistic-looking blow up canines (including a coyote decoy!) that have thrown dogs for a loop hahaha.
