Aleksandr Gorbunov was a must, given NASA’s seat exchange program with Russia & the Soyuz.
Nick Hague is no surprise as he’s the only experienced astronaut among the other three.

Sucks for Cardman and Wilson…
Sucks real bad for Boeing
@2many2no
Boeing did it to themselves.
@2many2no @duodec Everything sucks in a vacuum.
@2many2no Yes it is a Black Eye for Boeing, but it was a test flight, you rather have problems crop up on a test flight. You learn so much from the problems. It’s better than a perfect flight!
But they are years behind what really sucks is that they are having to depend on SpaceX. And if you remember, SpaceX got less money in this contract, started from scratch & created a viable transportation system in half the time it’s taking Boeing to do it the one with the most experience!
@2many2no @mycya4me But at a grim cost to their workers:

@2many2no @Kyeh I have to agree that Musk is a lot like Steve Jobs & Bill Gate. Many times they are like the North end of a Mule walking south!
If NASA was following the same Rules it has today the Space Shuttle Challenger’s STS-51L mission would NOT have gone Boom. they are in a rush, they did NOT listen to other techs that told them NOT to go, there was an Icing problem!
I just hope that Musk/ SpaceX will learn these lessons before a Space accident!
Still Boeing is Years behind. It is NOT the safety, they are so BIG, that gets in the way.
