they run into a planet fully ravaged by tribbles, and one Klingon scientist who is trying to genetically modify them to NOT be born pregnant,and be so ravenous. so far all he’s accomplished is making them bigger. anyway, Rok-tahk helps him, and is successful in creating a retrovirus that works
in the process though, she sneezes on a cell culture, and accidentally creates a Tribble-Rock hybrid creature.

I doubt they have legs. Then again, how did they move? They weren’t always in a big pile on The Enterprise.
