@dasred Aww…Love this giphy! That’s Peter Tork from the Monkees (in case you’re too young to know who he/they were, lol!). That was my favorite (re-run) TV show as a kid in the 70’s. I saw them in concert several times and Peter was a cool guy. He passed away a couple of years ago and I happened to attend the first concert Mike and Micky held after he passed, so they put on an extra special show in his honor. It was sad, but great at the same time.

I was pretty much obsessed with them from the time I was about 7 (older sisters had their records) I took so much grief for being a fan in the 70’s when it was NOT cool to like them. When they reunited in the mid 80’s I caught as many local concerts as I could. I saw them in a small venue on my 18th birthday in ‘86 and Micky shook my hand while singing…it still remains one of my most treasured birthday memories, lol! (he was my favorite).
Last year, my husband surprised me with tickets to see Micky and Mike and it just so happened to fall shortly after Peter passed. I hadn’t seen them in years, but it was such a great show. They were a unique tv experiment that had some of the best hit songwriters behind them, and they will always hold a special place in my memories.
Figures the only one I wanted was sold out. Probably for the best, as with the confusion in sizing I’d probably wind up with one way too small or way too big …

Gonna be the one that says it. Material is “leather”. Probably the “genuine leather” Spam flaked-chopped-formed leather pieces glued together which will fall apart after a year. I’d rather have a decent belt made with either Full Grain or Top Grain leather (an actual single piece of hide). They ain’t cheap but will last you for decades, such is this one on Amazon

I’m a leather crafter and full/top grain leather is not the ‘usual’ (even at nice department stores).
One of the things I have tried to educate folks on is that a ‘genuine leather’ label means it’s most likely NOT a high quality belt (or wallet) and will probably fall apart in a year or two. I didn’t know that information before I started working with leather, but now that I’m aware (and have seen the difference), I try to pass it on so others know what to look for when purchasing a leather product.
If a product is top or full grain…the label will say so. It will cost more, but it will be worth it if you take care of it.

These arrived today. Size on the ones I got corresponds to the distance from buckle prong base to the middle hole, not the tip (i.e., the sizing is perfectly normal on these).
Belts are marked “Genuine Leather” and Made in China. So not top tier belts, but attractive and nicely made for the price. Neiman Marcus tags and hangers still attached.
Ordered two. They arrived today and one is the wrong belt. Of course the one that I wanted the most is the one I didn’t get. Otherwise, they’re pretty nice. Off to write support…
Arrived today, but I live close to Meh HQ so they always get here quickly. While they are Needless Markup, the price tags on them suggest they were made for the NM Outlets. The leather ones are very nice, looks well made (i.e. not Bonded Leather). The Braid one has somesort or Weird smell. For $9 each I am not complaining.
@billongings I rather like the braided one. It replaced a full leather braided one that finally (10 years?) started tearing strands from the buckle prong. For $9 and a perfect replacement, no complaints.
I got mine today. I’d ordered one 36 and two 38’s and got two 42’s and one 44. None was the textured woven one I really wanted and the mixed braid was a mono blue colored one. And I got the wrong reversible one as well. Couldn’t have been more wrong here. Hope the rest of you do better than this.

These reversible belts always break after a few weeks. They use cheap aluminum pins for the swivel and thin springs. They are built to fail.
