National Concert Week
7A lot of places are selling discount concert tickets this week. I picked up tickets for several concerts for $20, fees included which is less than half price. A couple of local places have tickets 2 for $20 fees included. If you like live music check it out in your area.

Jimmy Buffett here I come. Hope someone will go with me.
@sammydog01
I’ll go! I’ll go!
@Barney You’re not quite on the way. Otherwise
@sammydog01 Dang.
@Barney
@sammydog01 sniffle
I was reading through the list of artists in the email Live Nation sent me - I almost spit coffee through my nose when I read Joe Biden…
Images of Uncle Joe, live in concert.
Otherwise, I’m pissed off but not at all surprised that none of the shows I want to go to are included in the sale.
@DennisG2014 Not a Buffett fan?
@sammydog01 Not not a fan, but not a Parrot Head.
Saw him once, had a lot of fun, don’t really need to go again.
@DennisG2014 @sammydog01 I still like his books better than his music.
I bought a bunch of tickets- I added two at $20 to the cart and the total was $40. One concert was sold out of special tickets but had lawn tickets for $25. I put two in the cart and the total was $95. I hate the music industry.
@sammydog01 Thank you for posting about this, took a look and a show I was planning on going to has participating tickets. At first it looked like it was only $5 saving and only the lawn seating was available, I was still debating between lawn and like $10 more for a real seat, but fees are absolutely terrible on ticket sales. $40 vs $110, I think I’ll be fine on the lawn. They also want to sell me some Star Parking for another $40… I’m good with the free parking thanks.
@metaphore I’ll be spending a good chunk of my summer on the lawn. What are you going to see?
@metaphore @sammydog01 Do an overnight in Marion great way to escape the Florida heat for a weekend. Dinner and a show for under $100 how can you beat that.
@sammydog01 Weezer and the Pixies. I also pulled the trigger on Rise Against and AFI even though it’s a Monday night show.
Song of the mountains was still 25 bucks a ticket.
@cranky1950 Going to see the Noveau Honkeys this week.
@cranky1950 Bluegrass is big around here. I need to catch a concert sometime. Have fun!
I’m going to see Herman’s Hermits featuring Peter Noone on Saturday at Epcot. Technically the concert is free although you do have to pay admission to the park.
@msklzannie That sounds fun!
@msklzannie Is this weekend one of the off peak resident pass weeks?
@sammydog01 I’m looking forward to it. The concert is part of the Garden Rocks concert series. Each weekend during the Flower and Garden Festival a different band performs.
@cranky1950 I doubt it as the crowd level is predicted to be 7/10. I’m from Iowa anyhow so resident passes don’t help me out.
We’re doing a big family trip. My parents, my sister and her family, my youngest brother, and I are all going to Disney although there is only 1 day everyone will be at the same park (MK on Tuesday). I’m going to Epcot, AK, and MK. Other than Disney Springs, I haven’t been to WDW since the late '80s/possibly very early '90s. It seems weird that AK (which turns 20 this year) didn’t even exist when I went as a kid.
@msklzannie @sammydog01 This is a good time to go there. Not too hot yet, kids are still in school.
@cranky1950 That was part of the reasoning behind the travel dates. The other part was both of my sister’s kids turn 3 later this year (July and December) so if we waited they’d need tickets too.
