Nabi Look HD with GoPro Suction Cup work around
2I was a little frustrated with how the clip didn’t fit on the GoPro mount and decided to just remove it completely. It works much better:
I can now use it as a dash mount:
Although the picture is upside down and has to be flipped in post.

I can’t seem to get the pictures to embed.
@densa’s images:
(trick is getting the URL of the actual image file… any URL ending w/ .jpg, .png, .gif, etc. will automagically embed here)
@brhfl hey @densa, what are you doing pulling up to my house?
@DMlivezey Just wanna help myself to some of your Meh loot.
Have you figured out a solution for the head strap-on?
@thekenya what issue are you having?
Thank you! Once I figure out the buttons I’ll move on to the giant pile of parts. I also picked up a bike mount from Walmart. It’s for the Nabi so hopefully it will work as intended.
I ran into the quick release buckle mounts at my local brick and mortar meh… (the dollar store). They had a few different cheap mounting parts for gopros. That let me use the Nabi pieces with the gopro mount on the suction cup. Its cheap but its holding.
I noticed a few weird things…
The manual says that if you hold down the picture button for 3-4 seconds when the display is mounted and the power is on, you can turn off the display. (i assume to save battery?)
While the display is off, however, you cannot start or stop taking a video, or take a picture.
If I start taking a video while the display is on, I can hold the picture button for 3-4 seconds and the display will turn off, and it will keep recording video. you have to turn the display back on again to stop recording video, it will not stop while the screen is turned off. In this case, it’s kind of like a safety lock so you dont accidentally stop recording. You can just turn off the power to stop recording. It will finish writing the file to disk before it powers off. The camera will not respond to the remote either while the display is off. It does respond to the remote however, when the screen is not attached to the camera. (as you would expect)
If you hold down the picture button on the remote for 3-4 seconds, the camera will beep once, but I don’t see anything happening. It does not take a picture. If you hold down the picture button on the remote a second time, the camera will beep twice, but again nothing else happens.
Also, the recorded sound is not very good. Very soft on playback. Anyone else have this problem?
