My Meh life
47I wish any of this were an exaggeration, but I just had this realization as I was doing up my coffee this morning.
I wake up on Fabulous Flannel Micro-flannel sheets (Meh deal 01/24/18) covered by a Microfiber Comforter (04/13/17) and a Gardenia Down Alternative Comforter (04/28/16), get the morning update from my (non-Meh) Alexa through Philips Bluetooth 2.0 Bookshelf Speakers (08/17/16 – an earlier deal’s speakers are in the kitchen) go into my office and make a pot of coffee in my Hamilton Beach 2-Way Single Serve and Full Pot Coffee Maker (02/06/16). I pour the hot coffee into a Samba Insulated Carafe (05/06/16) so I can enjoy it from my Meh mug (Fukobukuro 18) while I read my newsfeeds and check Meh deals on my 40-inch Philips 4K Monitor (08/30/17).
Some mornings I take 20 minutes to meditate while my Purespa Natural Aromatherapy Diffuser (06/21/17) spews jasmine-scented mist into my office.
Once I’m property rejuvenated, I take my Morning Moment, cleansing afterward with the Bio Bio Bidet A3 (Self-cleaning) (04/10/17), idly appreciating that my feet aren’t sticking to the floor from my husband’s midnight bathroom trips (Shark Lift-Away Steam Mop with Removable Handheld Steamer, 01/25/17).
As I get ready for my day, I might note the clean bedroom floor (Neato Botvac 65 Robotic Vacuum, 04/11/16) while accessorizing with any number of Pacific Pearls jewelry items (09/18/17, 06/23/17, 12/19/16) or the Imperial Pearl 18” Station Necklace (04/16/16).
Things get pretty quiet for a while after that – I mean, I use some (a bunch of) Meh stuff throughout the day but there are days I don’t and I’m truly not trying to push this theme too hard. I did, however, wind down with a bottle of Meh wine last night but it wasn’t from the half-case I bought in November (long gone) but from the Casemates Kickstarter Party box I received yesterday.
So there. My Meh life.

Well done! I know the feeling as I write this on my meh Toshiba Chromebook. Above me are my mPulse headphones and my Quirky phone charger and speaker. The entire house is littered with meh and wOOT paraphernalia that gets me thru the day.
But I loved your story.
Awesome!
@snapster, @dave, @staffers, take note! Well done!

I drink coffee everyday from my Meh mug. I use various socks, my humidifier, LED lighting. I think everything else I ever purchased is in a box or drawer.
My life is very meh, too, but it’s a little less meh since my meh coffee mug, with the lovely purple inside it, broke.
/giphy crying big tears
@Barney I would send you mine if I had one. Want an insulated tumbler instead?
@sammydog01 Is it purple? Seriously, I seem to be either breaking things or permanently misplacing them lately. I don’t think there is anything that can help me. (Has anyone told you how nice you are?)
@Barney yeah, @sammydog01 is super generous.
@RiotDemon She’s the bestest!
@Barney @RiotDemon Aw, you guys. The closest I have is bright pink, but it’s almost unbreakable. Almost.
@sammydog01 Is your tumbler about so high and has meh. in white letters?
@Barney I have an unused purple inside meh cup if you want it.
@Barney It’s about this high and has meh in black letters.
@sammydog01 Ahh, mine is in black letters, too. Hey, we must shop at the same place!
@Kidsandliz Thanks for the offer, but I think it would probably end up broken, too. I’m not kidding when I say that I am going through a klutzy period in my life. I wouldn’t want to destroy another mug.
@Barney Could be- see you at midnight.
@Barney Better it be used and then broken than sitting abandoned and alone on a shelf… just sayin’
Ahhh. Living the meh dream! A very quick survey reveals an embarrassing number of meh drones, speakers, bluetooth and non-bluetooth fidget spinners (there, I admitted it), bluetooth and non-bluetooth headphones, coffee paraphernalia, safety lights, a nice desk lamp and a mehrathon purchased Raspberry Pi that I was messing with today. Oh and some random stuff from my one and only Fuko win (loss).
@barney You sound so forlorn! I’m with @kidsandliz : use em and abuse em. Embrace the klutziness , it’s just a phase. I coincidentally watched several videos yesterday on how to powder-coat in a toaster oven. Seems like a “fun weekend project” especially if you have a penchant for turning all your things one glorious shade of purple…
@2palms I truly am going through a klutzy/forgetful part of my life. If I’m not breaking things, I’m losing them. Today I thought I left my billfold at the grocery store, or lost it in the parking lot. I couldn’t find it anywhere in the house. I was on my way back to the store, when I spied it on my washer. Why I put it there, I’ll never know.
Powder-coating in a toaster over sounds like it might be dangerous. Not sure I want to eat purple toast.
It seems that I’ve placed 176 orders here since my first, on July 31, 2014, where I got a medium vault. 14 were fukos and fukus (7 of each, it seems), leaving 162 with potential for intentionally meaningful use (my fuku|os have included more than a few useful items, but I’d have to make a whole lot more effort to catalog them and I’m not going to do so now… or ever).
Scrolling thru the orders I counted 82 (just over half!) where I’ve used or gifted at least one item from the order (some of those gifts were via Mehxchange boxes).
There are many orders of Meh t-shirts and Unsimply Stitched socks, things like the LG-V480 tablet I use almost every day, cutting boards, Bubba mugs, and other items I’ve gotten significant use from. But my response to way way too many of the items was either, “Oh yeah… I should finish that project,” or “Yeah, THAT was stupid!”
TL;DR: I’ve purchased quite a few things here and about half of them (including the very first… see link above) have never been used in any way.
You really do lead a meh life!
