@phendrick I wouldn’t want to make any adult feel guilty about an adult choice they may have made . . . Not my place. Let he without sin cast the first stone thing, ya know?
Chinese and Korean series and movies, from costume/period dramas to contemporary comedy, romance or drama. I am hooked. When I watch something that’s in English, I catch myself looking for the subtitles.

I do too. Then I turn them on… to make sure I don’t miss what they are saying. So much of the dialogue gets lost in explosions and overly loud background music in so many movies and shows.
I am jonesing on TeeVee show reviews. I refuse to have subscriptions for everything. For example, I have only seen the first 3 episodes of Andor, but there are a gazillion well thought out reviews.
Here is the latest one I found. This dude is LITERALLY doing a scene-by-scene analysis of Andor :
He has a cute kitty named Mysti that shows up from time to time. I couldn’t understand why he was so engaging until I learned that he used to be a radio broadcaster. Therefore, he is using that well-honed talent to make fixing a TV comfy.
It’s pretty much all over the map.
Ranging from series like the expanse, dept q, outlaws, upload, the closer, and resident alien to movies including eden, Jumanji, the rip, free guy, superbob, and a kind of madness recently.
@f00l
Omg I love landman! Although I think Sheridan is a pompous ass, he can really write some great tv shows. Loved Yellowstone and all the spinoffs and the mayors of Kingstown is great.
I miss the whole “go to philosophical dilemma planet of the week, what does each character archetype do” without all the push for water-cooler talk, viral memes, or short attention span drama.
Coupling (the original British series). My wife and I have watched the series all the way through multiple times and IMO, it’s still funnier/more entertaining than pretty much any other contemporary comedy TV.
Once again it appears that no one has caught the OBVIOUS Dyslexic question posed by @mediocrebot. I am 99.9% positive the daily survey question should have read:

@phendrick I wouldn’t want to make any adult feel guilty about an adult choice they may have made . . . Not my place. Let he without sin cast the first stone thing, ya know?
Good SciFi, like Trek, Babylon 5, Farscape, ect. Most of the time I will just stream it/ no commercials!
British comedy panel shows. If you have a favorite, let me know. I think I have watched them all and would love to find any I have missed.
@shampshire 8 out of 10 cats is awesome.
VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
@Pavlov @shampshire
@shampshire I’m partial to the Big Fat Quiz series and anything featuring Richard Ayoade (or the other IT Crowd guys).
@Pavlov @phendrick @shampshire I will also throw in 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Mock the Week.
There are quite a few others that I have seen good episodes on but haven’t watched a lot of yet.
@jsfs Haven’t seen The Big Fat Quiz, so thanks! Hard agree on Richard Ayoade. I would watch him awkwardly read the dictionary.
@shampshire I’m assuming you’ve seen Taskmaster. If not… Taskmaster!
@shampshire Ones I have watched that haven’t been mentioned yet: QI, Taskmaster, Unforgivable, Would I Lie to You?
@shampshire Would I Lie To You? is great. Especially when David Mitchell is on.
Bob’s Burgers
@Clumber Tina”ughhhhhh”and butts yep
@el1c1a

I’m funny in the wall.
@Clumber @el1c1a Egg-cellent choice. I’ve loved Bob’s voice since he voiced Coach John McGuirk in Home Movies :
70’s and 80’s action shows. Especially A-Team, Rockford Files, Magnum P,I and Simon &Simon
Chinese and Korean series and movies, from costume/period dramas to contemporary comedy, romance or drama. I am hooked. When I watch something that’s in English, I catch myself looking for the subtitles.

Slice of Life anime

Old westerns.
“Maverick”
“Wanted Dead or Alive”

Nowadays I’ll watch anything of Taylor Sheridan’s.
I watch Landman tho I’m behind. Fun to spot shots of places I know.
I’m charmed by the way he keeps using actors I really like across various series, in different roles.
Also I wanna have “chaos+Beth Dutton” as my spirit animal.

@Star2236
Agree pompous ass but the man can create good tv.
I like how he weaves the gun-toting lawlessness of frontier days into modern stories. Kinda revives the mythology a bit.
@Star2236
Here is a fav v short Taylor Sheridan clip. 2min? The clip could likely be dropped into many of his shows or films and it would work.
Contains no spoilers.
Star Trek TNG

@macromeh
That WAS such a fantastic series. This is probably one of my favorite bits they did.
@chienfou Agreed - best rant ever! We just re-(re-re-re) watched this episode a couple of days ago.
@macromeh
Yep… comfort food for the brain
@chienfou Too bad the US version didn’t measure up.

Next??
Friends, lifetime movies and family feud. I think Steve Harvey is hilarious.
Not that many of these sound like anything to feel guilty about. But for me it’s award shows - I love the spectacle! Watching the Grammys right now.
