Honestly, if I were asked, I’d get what they want AND something I’d want to get them. But they rarely ask, so I only get them whatever I want to give them.

For my guys family- I get whatever I think they might like and then it’s gift cards, scratch offs and/or money to fill in where more is needed.
My family- I only buy for my mom and my niece, they get whatever they want!
Hubby’s family gets mostly stuff from their wishlists with smaller things that we think they’d like added on. My sister is the only family I have, and all she ever wants is gin. So I usually send her several kinds of fancy gin, different flavors etc.
When I shop for my husband, I just buy stuff I think he’d love. It’s hard to stop sometimes, I keep finding more and more things that I want to get him.
