Well, “fad” is one letter away from “fade” - which makes sense.
“Anger” is just a letter from “danger” - which makes sense.
“Words” may be mightier than “swords” - but a letter short.
“Sing” is just a letter away from “singe” and “sting” - which may or not make sense depending on your voice, and whether or not it is karaoke.
@carl669@rockblossom@tinamarie1974 Odd Thomas is an excellent book series, if you want to know of other non-Todd odd people. (Dean Koontz, who is Stephen King-ish but slightly different type of crazy stuff happening, different but still excellent story telling style)
By the way, had high hopes for the movie (Anton Yelchin ), but much like King movies, studio ruined it.
@carl669@mollama I tried the first couple Odd Thomas books when they came out. I just couldn’t get into them. I liked most of his other books but Thomas was just odd. Maybe I should try again.
@carl669@rockblossom@tinamarie1974@unksol I am the same with most book-movies, if I don’t read the book first I generally like the movies, but read the book first and generally don’t like movie Most Harry Potter’s were good movie-after-book exceptions to me). So my review was definitely distorted by having read book first.

@rockblossom and “odd” is one letter away from “Todd”. because the Todd i knew was kind of odd.
@carl669 How was Todd odd? How odd was Todd? Was Todd odd even on days that were even, or was Todd even odder on odd days?
@carl669 @rockblossom hey, I know an odd Todd too!
@tinamarie1974 i think everyone knows an odd Todd.
@rockblossom Todd’s odd. how odd is Todd? he would nod. even then, the nod was odd.

@mollama I actually liked the movie, but that may be because I haven’t read the books (I didn’t know they existed). now I’ll have to check them out.

“Don’t Touch” must be one of the scariest things to read in braille.
@therealjrn
@therealjrn and “touch” is just one letter away from “touche” which, while it means touch in French, has other uses in English, like “good point”.
How come even though garbage can contain literally anything, garbage trucks all smell the exact same?
@djslack
Prob, it’s just another variant of “new car smell”.
