@jsh139 Ah, expecting something better; I believe that is the whole point of Meh. Meh prey's upon our hope that tomorrow won't reveal something made by JBL.
@RedOx I don't have a baby- was just wondering if I could rig this up to be a cheap ip cam, then as I was typing this I searched and realized I could get a foscam for less.... man technology costs way less than I expect it to.
@awk The ring of glowing IR "night vision" LED's around the camera make it stick out like a sore thumb at night. Something to think about if you're thinking about using it as a spy cam.
Bought this the last time around. It's a great baby monitor. The whole digital pan thing is fine really. It's just for viewing the full range of the lens, which is pretty ample. Also the IR temperature gauge is a nice sanity check before you break out a legit thermometer.
@Kylethephotoguy Really? No baby... I'm out... BTW... you guys had me worried when the page went to 404... it's been the first night in a while that I've stayed up till midnight, instead of woken up 2 minutes before to check meh and roll over, go back to bed.
Has anyone thought about using one of these as a cheap solution to a front door "security" camera?
I'd be nice to see who's knocking at my door w/o having to walk across my house to see who it is. I don't know if this camera could handle outdoor temperatures, though...
Doesn't digital pan and tilt just mean "pointless image manipulation"? Unless they're cropping the video under normal mode, you can't get a wider field of view or a different image from a digital anything.
@leahmy21 if you act fast, sometimes you can cancel your order from your orders page at meh.com/orders - if you don't have the cancel option, write in to meh.com/support as suggested above.

Meh, get a Foscam instead so you can repurpose it later!
I was expecting something better.

@zahgrim This is true.
Blarg
We "see you" meh-"Watch" these deals fly off the shelf tonight
@AttyVette There is "no shot" I'm buying another one of these close circuit cameras ever again.
I am going to cry out loud
@satmeh guess you'll have to "baby " this electronics deal
I assume no way for someone with minimal electronics experience to hook the receiver into a network?
@Pantheist Buy an IP Cam, point it at the Parental unit.
BAM, baby monitor on the 'net!

Oh yeah, could totally use this to "monitor" some "babies", if you catch my drift.
@awk wink-wink, nudge-nudge, knowwhatImean?
@kensey yep, truly a classic.

@kensey boy oh boy I can't wait to rig this up secretly in her room...
My kitten is so cute when she's playing by herself!

Check out the drawing in baby monitor screen winking (Glen)... It was a little "drawn" out but...
@AttyVette That is a bit sketchy, tho.
It looks like it doesn't plug in, so although it might be nice for nap time, it looks like using it to monitor an active 2 year old would be a no go?
Does it come with a baby?
@notrobocop fortunately no.

Will this work through fence holes?
I'm always annoyed by people posting only to complain about a deal but today I understand. I truly understand.

Dear Meh,
Please sell some more stem izon 2 cameras for cheaper than last time, they are pretty cool.
Thanks for your time,
@thismyusername
P.S. Irk Plushies.
