Mostly Useless Knowledge Plus Humor
8Here we have a video that explores the history of how the Netherlands got bigger without invading anybody, presented with assorted bits of humor along the way. This is, of course, completely off-topic for the Meh forums, isn’t Georgia Red, probably isn’t Mac-compatible, and does nothing about making a good margarita. Contains no speaker docks, melted candy corn, bougie knives, crappy kitchen cutlery, questionable “supplements”, air-moving devices, power banks, vacuum cleaners, oddball or unpopular snacks, or badly-size-marked clothing items.
Enjoy, if you wish:
Definitely stay for the bit at the end.

Also makes no mention of polyester or viscose bedding, As Seen On TV items, or inflatables of any type.
@werehatrack Doesn’t seem to be Bluetooth enabled.
@rockblossom Thank you. I had missed that. Also not USB-C.
And no energy drinks (canned or concentrated), either.
The Urk-way
So “the bit at the end” is them selling a book?
The book looks interesting. The topic of Holland was good; I know some things about it but this filled-in some info (and land).
@pmarin The pitch for the book is pretty damn funny IMO. YMMV. (Some bibliophiles will doubtless be horribly offended.)
Would like it better with melted Kandy Korn but will give it a try.
New Orleans needs to know about this.
Actually when I lived in Holland I checked out that part of the Netherlands. And when to the island where they don’t speak Dutch. It was interesting and incredibly, very noticeably, flat (or course so are some other parts of Holland).
Of course DC has a lot of “reclaimed” land as does DC, part of southern costal VA… Don’t want to live any of those places with the rising seas.
@Kidsandliz
Always found it interesting that Schiphol airport in Amsterdam is actually below a sea level!
@chienfou @Kidsandliz And it (Schiphol) smells bad too (like rotting sea life
).
At least it did when I landed there back in the 80’s.
@Kidsandliz @macromeh
Wow…can’t say I noticed that the times I have flown thru there between the mid 70’s and summer before last.
