This travel seat I got from Woot! years ago is one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever sat on. I used it for the first time at an outdoor concert and it made my butt completely numb. I never thought I’d be able to stand up or walk normally again. It took a while to recover. Ouch.
@hchavers@ironcheftoni I certainly enjoy the time spent in the waiting room chairs significantly more than the time spent in the chair in the back room.
In addition to the Woot! seat mentioned above, when I go to outdoor concerts at the local brewery I sit on these boulders. I can assure you they are NOT comfortable seats.
Airplane seats are the worst seats of my traveling lifestyle. Considering the time you are expected to stay in them and your relative inability to reposition yourself into a new position, they are the worst.
@Tadlem43
My second time on a horse, it was bareback, at night, in light scattered rain over non-flat terrain with scrub trees. The horse spooked (for reasons) and I found myself hanging on as best I could as the horse headed back downhill off-trail, making for the paddock at a gallop. They found me about fifteen minutes later. I was still aboard, I had the horse stopped and reasonably calm, eating the heads off thistles.
It was an interesting experience.
I have never had the urge to get on a horse again.
@remo28
Probably 97% of them, yeah. But particularly those ultralight racing buttfloss ones. And people claim to like them! (I am not one of those people.)
@tinamarie1974 I mean I guess it depends on who is in the chair. Statistics lean toward the negative if a sample of the general public. I’ve avoided them long before then. I could probably tolerate some of y’all if you could stand me lol
The old seats at Tampa Theatre.
Any seat at a timeshare/mlm pitch
@TheGreatNico three hours, if you’re lucky of your life you will never get back
@ironcheftoni @TheGreatNico Yoda?
@TheGreatNico
I will never do one again!
@Fuzzalini Maybe… Or doesn’t like parenthesis? My brain tripped over that one hard.

@heartny I have one of those too. I haven’t sat on one of these as long as you, but I find it useful on occasion and they are easy to cart around.
@Kidsandliz Very easy to cart around, which is why I bought one, but definitely not easy on the butt.
Chairs at any auto repair shop. It seems the longer you have to wait for your car, the more uncomfortable they get
The waiting room chairs at the dentist.
@hchavers I like the chairs at my dentist office. There’s a salt water aquarium in the center of the room. I like looking for the baby starfishes

Church pews.
@Pony
I was just coming to say that, being raised catholic and going to church every Sunday.

@ThunderChicken Business and First are generally quite comfortable
A saddle… if you aren’t used to riding. Just ask someone the next day.

@werehatrack lol That’ll do it. Glad you were ok.
Convention chairs provided by convention centers
Removed my entry because probably bad taste.
Bicycle seats

The chairs in the waiting room at the doctor’s office waiting for my annual prostate exam.
And the chairs after the exam
Those horrible awful ones that have a chair on either side with a person in them
@unksol Ive not seen those, well since March of 2020
