The question I have (and I asked elsewhere in the thread (here? mediocre?) is can a ton of different forums be maintained with any richness if people “cross shop” and thus can participate in multiple forums…? Will they then put a lot of time into each forum or will they pick the one they like best?

What if those newbies are great shoppers but horrible forum Mehmbers? Can the MehMagic protect this forum from degeneration into internet uselessness?
@f00l there’s a giant regulator on their forum noise over on their checkout site. It’s called “they pay 2 bucks a month for the privilege” because they like the value of us & the checkout.org partner. Once you sub-filter that by folks brave/silly enough to join the forums, we’ll be lucky to hear crickets.
From there, it’s our collective job to recruit the smart ones so that Meh can sustain itself.
@snapster do you post these changes and pray no one finds them until you makes an official launch? Do you makes bets on how long it takes to get noticed or by whom it will be noticed first?
No extra discount for the former who basically posted a new poll each day and kept readers coming back for more?
@snapster As an aside, those creeks can also get polluted and poison the lake… (taken to an extreme that is - the mixing of cultures is always hard - hopefully a deliberate attempt on the part of mediocre to “guide” the process)

@snapster A friend of mine used to do groundwater geology. He helped make some TX topo maps. I was appalled to learn that they estimate where the seasonal streams might be rather than confirm they are really there. Heaven help the person relying on that during the rainy season. Or trying to hydrate a desert…

As for system update, if all they changed was security, it would be applied already. Has been pending for months!
Never access anything important on my phone…worst they can do is order from meh. It is the only login autoloaded and attached to a cc. Don’t have email or such loaded, and no nak’ed photos to hack!
@sammydog01 it’s great! although we have daily video meetings, so i don’t hang out in my pajamas. sometimes my active wear though (hoping eventually it will inspire me to be active).

morningsave is gonna be somewhat a problem. The forum there is probably a bad idea and will eventually negatively affect the TVbiz stuff. Either that or you’re gonna need asshole moderation to keep it from offending sensibilities. There’s rather big divide between the audience for meh and Kathy Lee and Hoda. Be fun until it bites you in the ass though.

@Kidsandliz think of other forums as feeder creeks to the lake of Meh. Their health is not a priority unless they benefit us when it rains.
