Morningsave is sucking my will to live...
9Seems like all the mediocre sites have chronic performance issues.
Generally I just disregard and try back later. Today, however, I promised to order a Martian Notifier for a friend. I’ve been effing around on Morningsave.com for the last hour trying to get my order to process, but no soap. Almost makes it worth spending the extra $3 and ordering from Groupon…
That sound you hear? It’s the sound of my will to live being sucked from my body. Just a little more, each time I hit the “Buy” button and the process goes into infinite loop…

Bummer - yes you’re caught up in a performance issue we’ve been having this afternoon. We’re working to fix it with the remaining will to live we have.
@snapster Fortunately I finally escaped the infinite, and looped into a successful purchase. Yay team!
@snapster Uh… my celebration was a little premature. Now I have at least three pending orders for the Martian Notifier. Looks like at least 3 infinite loops weren’t so infinite after all.
Now I’m trying to cancel 2 of the 3, but I’m caught in the same performance issue.
I recon I can read the fine print over at Morningsave, but if you are feeling magnanimous, and have a spare second, please let me know who to contact to resolve? I know you must be busy, but I really thank you for any direction!

@RiotDemon It’s a little to little and a little too dark on my screen. Which painting?
@ruouttaurmind it’s a Carl B. Hestman that I uploaded somewhere here. He’s a Norwegian painter. I just found it funny that it used something from the uploader as the header pic.
I’ll have to find the photo…

The topic header images show up so dark on my phone that I don’t bother trying to figure out what the image is.

@RiotDemon I have several repos small poster style) of his work. Lots of the “tall ship under full sail” ones around.
@Kidsandliz @f00l I noticed that it looked familiar in the little bubble that comes in the main forum, so I Google searched from the bubble. That was the only reason I knew it was the exact photo I uploaded. The header is almost impossible to tell.
I guess since I uploaded that photo in another morningsave thread that maybe whatever algorithm tagged it with morningsave and that’s why it showed up in this thread. I would love someone at meh with some insight but I’m not sure who to tag for such a silly question.
@Kidsandliz very cool. In the other thread I remarked that I didn’t even know that he was popular outside of Norway. So this is pretty neat.

I don’t know if it works in other browsers, but in Firefox, if you right click the forum header, one of the menu choices is view background image.
@2many2no I never thought to try that. I’m using Firefox/W10 right now. In the main forum (meh.com/forum) I can right click on the thumbnail image and choose “view image”, but here within the thread I am unable to do that. Still… the thumbnail works well enough!

@cahuston Many thanks for the offer. Morningsave finally did come through with (several) orders. I’ve squared it away with the pending orders, and one will be shipped. Eventually.

@PocketBrain Some people get it, some people don’t. It’s all about the game. I love the challenge of a bargain.
Also, this purchase was a favor for a friend. I was asked to make it so. I wished to come through for the friend and make it so, at the price which was in play when the request was made.
