MornignSave "Doorbusters"
7Just a comment, admittedly probably overreacting to this (not in my mind, but in the real world). “Doorbuster” is among the stupidest and most off-putting phrases in retail. I. Hate. It.
I’m sure most people don’t care about the phrase (or my extreme reaction to it…fair play), but my god…just irritates the hell out of me.
Even with a retail store that has actual doors to bust, no thank you.
Happy Friday, though.

Irk: Maybe it bothers me more than it should. (Read it in his voice.)
Door busters. That sounds like the opposite clientele a retail establishment would want to cater to, but no! In our hyper consumption driven world, they advertise to these modern day zombies to camp out at the wee hours of the morning, likely anticipating a physical confrontation, like a meth-head excited for a mosh pit, because they are door busters.
Yes. Door. The physical thing that keeps people from entering a place. Busting. The act of destroying said object.
I am not entirely sure why this concept ever gained traction, but I suspect it has something to do with big door and big glass conglomerates.
@KNmeh7 @iamdmann I agree
@KNmeh7
…Or those folks that HAVE to get the newest iPhone as soon as it hits the store.
Or, and I’m just spitballing here, read it as do-or-bust…ers?
It’s so overused, I don’t hear it anymore.
But yes.
Doorbusters:
A WWE event would be more serene.
TBH, MornignSave bugs me way the fuck more than “Doorbusters” ever could
I know…I noticed after I could no longer edit. Bugs me, too.
I came here expecting a deal on a discount battering ram and all I get is some idle navel gazing.
meh
(At least I found a good tip on a lucrative home business prospect.)
@macromeh yeah some spammer is busy here daily. Wonder if they get paid by the spam count.
@macromeh How about an Angry Ram?
Cliche for a reason. The audience wants to be excited. We’re just trying not to cry wolf.
Totally get that a lot of the audience wants it…but I just unsubscribed from morningsave emails because it isn’t how I like to wake up. (Again, I agree I’m being overly sensitive to something that really doesn’t matter).
