@2many2no they are largely an overstock site. cali kings are a specialty item and not that many people have beds that size, so stores don’t have that many of them lying around and don’t tend to have a ton of leftovers to pass on to sites like meh.
@2many2no@n8mack33@rpstrong@tweezak
I mean the premise is there would be more space between you on a California king. This is flat out false. A California king is 72 inches wide. A standard king is 76. So you are closer on a California king. It sacrifices width for length. And has less surface area.
Then we have the premise bed width and forced proximity makes you want sex. Forced proximity when you want some space is not good. And has nothing to do with sex.
And if you are wanting to snuggle or fuck the 4 inches don’t matter
(Preemptive that’s what she said. You bastards)
But the extra length when you don’t want your feet hanging off cause you’re 6’4". Does.
But we are still back at most people don’t need it/sheets are not in stores/there is less production/ etc etc. If you are tall and want it you will have to pay more and sales will be really rare.
@ircon96 this is of course true and I’d prefer to be snuggled up and I don’t think most people measure height to bed that literally. I’m right around 76" to 77" but then pillows eat up inches etc etc. I just bought one years ago because it was best for me. And my first after college bed.
I’m sure it if was buying with someone else there would be many many changes going on.
It is sometimes nice to crash into a bed that can mostly support you. You know. When you are just. Done
I bought some sheets from meh once. As I was changing position my hand went through the pillowcase. Right through the fabric. This was on the first use. Total garbage.
Fool me once.
@tweezak To be fair, meh doesn’t actually manufacture their own sheets, they just sell other brands - various different brands. So it is kinda disingenuous to say ‘meh sheets are bad’.
But to counteract your anecdotal evidence, I’ve bought two sets of sheets from meh - two different brands - and both are still in perfect condition. And I have two teenage boys. Maybe you just need to cut your nails better?
@tweezak can you poke your index finger through 3” plated titanium as well?? You sir are quite bionic! Hopefully this doesn’t upset you. I feel no one is safe from your hands!
@SnDMommy These were the sheets in question. Probably a dead giveaway that they are crap is that they are trying to exploit a well known high quality brand though not known for linens.
Additionally, I am not strong. I let my wife try tearing the pillowcase and she also did it easily from the center of the fabric-not at a seam. Thread can rot over time and this acted like that though I suspect it was the ultra-thin weave that was the cause.
Going forward, sheets are now one of those things I will not buy unless I can touch them first.
@PooltoyWolf Close. They were washed by a person with an extra chromosome down at the creek over the biggest rocks available. And yes, this was some time ago. Hence the “VINTAGE” reference
@chyiochan
And make sure you turn up the heat just a little so they sweat so much that they just slide out of the bed and straight out the front door!
I really hate microfiber sheets…
@evangelionhd Yeah I thought the “Bamboo” (really what used to be “Rayon”) with 60% polyester were bad enough. And yet showed up every few weeks. So at 100% i predict these will show up more often.

Holy sheet Batman!
Why don’t you ever sell black sheets? Do you have something against black?
@hchavers they are largely an overstock site. black sheets are the best so they’re seldom left over
@boygenius1991 @hchavers
/image always bet on black
@boygenius1991 @hchavers @stinks Except during an IRS audit.
@hchavers Hence the model number…?
Why don’t you ever sell cal-king sheets? Do you have something against cal-king?
@2many2no I don’t know how it’s even possible to NEVER get any Cal King sizes! It’s inexplicable.
@2many2no they are largely an overstock site. cali kings are a specialty item and not that many people have beds that size, so stores don’t have that many of them lying around and don’t tend to have a ton of leftovers to pass on to sites like meh.
@2many2no That bed is too big. Sleep in a smaller one with your partner and you have sex more often. Fact.
@2many2no @n8mack33 You keep using that word. I don’t think you know what it means.
@2many2no @n8mack33 @tweezak But did he use it a plethora of times?
@2many2no @n8mack33 @rpstrong @tweezak Have fun storming the castle…but remember to bring your own sheets.
@2many2no @n8mack33 @rpstrong @tweezak

@unksol There’s always the option of sleeping in the fetal position. … Bonus points for preempting the bastards!

@unksol So true, when you’re done, you’re done & dependable support is always nice!
Vintage wash…otherwise known as “bachelor clean”
hey, are these made of actual fabric?
polyester
meh. don’t buy plastic sheets. yuck!
@boygenius1991 Rubber maybe. Not plastic though.

@tweezak Maybe that’s why this set comes with extra pillowcases?
@SnDMommy @tweezak @bugger @rpstrong Is your last name Howlett by any chance?

I have no idea what ‘vintage wash’ could possibly mean. Were they washed at the factory in a Whirlpool Harvest Gold washer?
@PooltoyWolf Close. They were washed by a person with an extra chromosome down at the creek over the biggest rocks available. And yes, this was some time ago. Hence the “VINTAGE” reference
@bugger
Micro-Nope
@rustyh3 Meta-Nope!
This is what you buy for your in-laws bed when you don’t want them to stay longer than a weekend.
@chyiochan ABSOTIVELY!
@chyiochan
And make sure you turn up the heat just a little so they sweat so much that they just slide out of the bed and straight out the front door!
I really hate microfiber sheets…
I need new sheets but these look terrible. You can get microfiber sheets anywhere for $25 bucks. Pretty meh
100% polyester?? No thank you
@evangelionhd Yeah I thought the “Bamboo” (really what used to be “Rayon”) with 60% polyester were bad enough. And yet showed up every few weeks. So at 100% i predict these will show up more often.
I love the model number
@ckcarlton Danny Glover loves the model number.
/image too old for this glover
You always need white sheets at Halloween for the ever popular Ghost costume!
My kid didn’t want to do the ghost costume so added a ball of yellow and went as a fried egg one year.
/giphy no polyester
“These ones”… ugh. Kill me now!
