Meh. I’m still thoroughly enjoying my House of Marley bluetooth headphones. It seems like I rip corded headphones out of the jack every hour, on the hour.
Half the people on Amazon seem to love it, but a suspiciously LARGE number complain about the leather coming off the ears rather quickly.
But fuck it, it’s my last night of commingled funds before my finances get split from the impending divorce, which means the future ex is paying for half of it, so… in for the blue one! Thanks @snapster… I think
@rileyper can’t I just make a joke at Meh’s expense? Actually, I really like the DNAs we bought a few years ago, the only thing I didn’t like is that they are on ear, I prefer over ear. Thinking about this, the blue isn’t hideous.
So you mention the amazing green and red ones but you aren’t selling them? Oh Meh, you big tease. If these don’t make a special appearance before Christmas then I will…probably do nothing because doing stuff is hard. Carry on.
@somf69 I think I’m gonna start collecting headphones; I had no idea there were so many sizes and shapes of them. I don’t have anything to plug them in to, but they are such a good deal!
@JT954 Noise isolating means the big padded ear pieces cover your ears and block sound physically from coming in. Basically all headphones isolate a bit, but some are designed with less sound penetration intended. Noise cancelling is when the headphones send out a competing sound wave intended to hit and cancel out other sounds.
I bought some bluetooth headphones recently. I’m never going back to headphones with cords. Meh, headphones with cords are going to be your new plug in speaker docks. You might have to create a new site just to move the stuff.
@a7xaudiojunkie Amen to that… Anything cheap but still by a “real” audio company would likely throw these for a serious whirl, be it Sennheiser, Koss Porta-Pro, or even some of the Sony sets. Or if you can get some of the Soul branded cans while they’re way down in price, they’ll do the same.
Buy headphones for sound; not for a brand - That’s where you can pick whatever (un)attractive clothing you please!
I say this every time Monster comes up. Monster is cheap crap with too high a price tag. Their quality sucks and they don’t stand behind their product.
@thismyusername newer compression codecs make Bluetooth far better than it used to be. Many Bluetooth headphones also have jacks to run a 3.5mm cable also as an alternative. Not having Bluetooth on this is a definite drawback especially considering its an adidas branded monster product. Who’s sponsoring them, fucking RUN-D.M.C.?
Gawd, do I hate dumb branding. Bialetti toothbrushes, RCA condoms, Chevrolet caskets. Anyone remember Oleg Cassini? (American fashion designer born to an aristocratic Russian family with maternal Italian ancestry.) Guy licensed his name to ANYTHING. Gerber beer, Arm & Hammer cotton balls, Janitor-in-a-Drum hygiene products, Jello super glue…Boeing cat litter. Adidas headphones???

The yellow ones are such the right shade of ugly.
@conandlibrarian
And match the included hollowed-out gourd.
(What?! It’s not included?!)
Meh. I’m still thoroughly enjoying my House of Marley bluetooth headphones. It seems like I rip corded headphones out of the jack every hour, on the hour.
Thinkin’ I’ll wait and get the green & yellow ones on the rebound for $15.

@haydesigner
@stinks with no shoe strings in 'em, I did not win 'em
I bought 'em off the ave with the tags still in 'em
All those colors and no purple option? WTF?
The Amazon reviews are pretty atrocious, sounds like they are worth about $5, not $50
@shirlema agreed. Nothing says high quaility audio like a pair of tennis shoes.
@shirlema but they say monster and adidas on them. just that alone makes them high quality, right?!
OH FUDGE, HECK GOSH i,m really not interested in more headphones. Perhaps tomorrow will offer a better opportunity for me.
Actually holding out for over-the-ear bluetooth hassles.

@haydesigner Will she demand one of the ear cups? I mean she’ll want half, right?
@eeterrific no doubt she’ll want the left earcup…
@haydesigner Buy 3 and give one to me!
I’m not sure which is uglier, the yellow set or the Amazon reviews.
@mtb002 yellow set, the reviews are pretty inconclusive and no one has really complained about the audio, just the ear cups that come off.

Can you sell dash cams and Adidas track suits so I can complete my Russian ensemble?
Where are the red and green ones? I demand to see the red and green ones!

why meh why

Found more reviews, doesn’t seem too bad.

MEH MEH says the goat
Alright, ya got me being a sucker for adidas and big headphones.

@PenguinOnTheRox
Oh please, please let me pay $50 to advertise for you!
looks like the logo will come off if not, there is always duck tape.
Tasteless junk. Truly horrible at any price.
Monster. Insta-Meh.
Headphones? FINALLY!
Overpriced electronics brand meets sports themed apparel? HOW COULD YOU GO WRONG?!
What is the difference between noise isolating and noise canceling?
@JT954 Noise isolating means the big padded ear pieces cover your ears and block sound physically from coming in. Basically all headphones isolate a bit, but some are designed with less sound penetration intended. Noise cancelling is when the headphones send out a competing sound wave intended to hit and cancel out other sounds.

@JonCBK So you’ve seen morningsave.com eh?
Weren’t these $50 when they first went up?
why are you selling junk? There are some really good headphones available that would show some respect for your customers with true value.
Are those Beats?
Sennheiser HD205. Even without listening I can almost guarantee they will sound better, and are the same $50. But I guess if you like your branding…

@arosiriak
Wait, headphones are for listening?
I would not buy ANYTHING that has the monster brand on it…
I love my classic shell-toes…
M E t H o d man.
I really like the sport earbuds, but the $5 headphones can’t be much worse than these for $50
That might matter to some folks.
Should I be concerned about sound quality when there aren’t even any claims as to frequency response?
@RedOak Yes, their sound quality differs from product to product. Their build quality always sucks.
I say this every time Monster comes up. Monster is cheap crap with too high a price tag. Their quality sucks and they don’t stand behind their product.
So are or aren’t these Bluetooth???
@bigtom67 these do NOT feature the music mangling bluetooth.

Havn’t seen the “hold” for a couple of days. Did we do away with it?
These are much better than I anticipated

@PenguinOnTheRox well that gif wasn’t what I expected but it also seems to work sooo
