A 6.5" showerhead seems like it would be somewhat unwieldy. A couple reviews on the 'zon reflect that, and the site recommends a Moen 3.5" showerhead with six functions instead for less than this offering – though to get the magnetic base, you need to spend about $54 but it does get slightly better reviews.
@seraphimcaduto I’m feeling lucky – although I don’t know why, considering that I got a truly regrettable IRK last month, and am waiting for a Random Meh Merch Bundle which is certain to add to the regret – so I’m going to wait to see if the shower head shows up on Sidedeal for an even lower price.
@ItalianScallion you too?! Yeah mine was hilariously meh too. I think it was a 32oz tumbler, hand sanitize, the bag and some random dollar store thing I don’t remember. Here’s hoping this is good lol.
@stinks Me neither. And I always take a shower fully clothed with a cup of coffee in my hand too. (Thanks, @GaviD, for the hint to use the “Clarify” setting.)
What about a setting for “PowerWash” to strip off suspension grease, tree sap, paint spatter, dried-on fluorescent-dye paintball hits, and skunk spray? (Mixed together.) (Asking for a friend.)
@ircon96@phendrick@werehatrack Yes, it is, the Bigger the “Oy!” the better it is. I just love Puns.
I leave you with one:
Why did the Sheep run off the Road???
“…nobody’s ever complained about how clean I look or smell after using it”
Is that an example of fear-based marketing? I mean, how many people take a shower (with soap, something that is not being sold here today) and are really greeted with “you don’t look clean” or “you smell”?
Upon further reflection, I suppose that is the go-to tactic for every product/service writeup everywhere…
@andymand I have had occasion to register complaints with people sharing a hotel room during business travel, when their shower and post-shower fragrance selections were so obnoxious that I had to flee the premises. (It’s usually not the soap, although Irish Spring was going to be found confined to a Ziplock if it was left in a shower that I was going to have to share.)
I have made a point of telling couple of them to wait until they were outside before polluting the air with Axe.
@everchot@PooltoyWolf
I saw that and saw the same thing… Maybe the buyer will put in a dual 5 way splitter and surround himself in the shower while fully clothed, with a cup of coffee in his hand… and yes, for “heartny”… a banana!
Is this only in chrome or is there the definitive “brushed nickel” or better yet… other varieties such as black or even copper?? Yes!!!
Chrome seems to “chromy” but this is a very good price.
I wonder how difficult it is to replace the hose with a longer one. I like to bathe my dogs in the tub and the extra reach would help justify replacing the current hardware (which is awkward, but works).
This looks identical to Brondell’s Nebia Corre which seems to be pretty popular (and expensive). This said, what is with the tile job in the shower pictures? It looks like it was done by drunk dwarves (in case they are into that kind of thing).
<rant> Four “settings”, and not a damn one of them tells me anything at all about what it actually does. They might as well have called them Jacques, Matilda, Alice and Joe. And the naming tells me WAY too much about the mindset of whoever was ramrodding this product dev track; frou-frou woo aplenty, woefully short on any of the deets that might make me sit up and take notice. I would have expected more respect for the consumer’s intelligence from an outfit like Moen, but I guess I am too far detached from THEIR “reality” to really exist. It reads like a thing they only want to sell to people who are willing to pay ten times as much for Image as for function. And this goes in a bathroom shower stall. Image. Bathroom shower stall. Riiiight.</rant>
@seeden it may not be the same, I just ordered a large “rain” head for a different shower and it actually came with a tool to remove the flow reducer / orifice. So the answer is a big maybe, but I think quite a few of the shower heads use a similar configuration.
I’m in. Seems like a good deal. Plus, I like the magnetic feature. If it does make nice with the master shower, it shall be banished to 1 of the 2 showers in the house.

@shahnm that is a VERY good thing, now he will not reak any more… have a unique Oder!

KRULL! A SKULL! BRETT HULL! AWESOME!

Normally prefer Delta products but this is a legit good deal. Guess I’m gonna buy it lol.
@seraphimcaduto hi! Moen has very good warranty coverage and excellent customer service

@edyafree @seraphimcaduto A good warranty is always nice, but I just can’t recall ever having a showerhead go bad on me.
@ItalianScallion you too?! Yeah mine was hilariously meh too. I think it was a 32oz tumbler, hand sanitize, the bag and some random dollar store thing I don’t remember. Here’s hoping this is good lol.
Does that make anyone more likely to buy the shower head? I don’t get it.
@stinks Me neither. And I always take a shower fully clothed with a cup of coffee in my hand too. (Thanks, @GaviD, for the hint to use the “Clarify” setting.)
@stinks Human for scale.
@heartny @stinks Where’s his banana?
@heartny @rpstrong @stinks hey it’s not that kinda site
@heartny @rpstrong @stinks They need one of these.
@crvich @heartny @stinks
/showme a man and his banana
If you look at the image a little closer, you will see a, “Mushroom!”
@mediocrebot
The banana has grown the wrong way, it’s twisted in the peel!
Ah yes, classic. The “clarify” showerhead setting for when I get a little confused.
What about a setting for “PowerWash” to strip off suspension grease, tree sap, paint spatter, dried-on fluorescent-dye paintball hits, and skunk spray? (Mixed together.) (Asking for a friend.)
@werehatrack There is no AssBlaster setting. We need a combo deal of this and a BioBidet.
Moen? Got any for womoen or are you being sexist? (implied by the product pictures…)
@phendrick Groan…dad joke alert! (But you still get a star for the pun, i can’t help myself.)
@ircon96 @phendrick the more you go yuck the better the Pun. So I would give it at least 2-3 yuck’s.
@ircon96 @mycya4me @phendrick The beauty of the pun is in the “Oy!” of the beholder.
@ircon96 @phendrick @werehatrack Yes, it is, the Bigger the “Oy!” the better it is. I just love Puns.

He missed the EWE turn!

Never mind, carry on, Meh…

Who the heck bought 10 of them?
@PooltoyWolf resellers
@everchot @PooltoyWolf

Chrome seems to “chromy” but this is a very good price.
@everchot @mcemanuel @PooltoyWolf If it came in Georgia Red, I’d have already bought one.
@everchot @mcemanuel @PooltoyWolf It’s probably here because of the chrome finish; the brushed nickel is more expensive on A-zon.
Does this have a “shut-off” setting to conserve water when soaping up?
@werekong I didn’t find anything saying so.
Is that a Glen in your shower, or are you just happy to see me? Egad.
Lookie lookie what I found for 73 bucks on the moen website (meh still cheaper, but I do like the “mediterranean” look and style!

I wonder how difficult it is to replace the hose with a longer one. I like to bathe my dogs in the tub and the extra reach would help justify replacing the current hardware (which is awkward, but works).
@whitelightertre You might want a Shower Head Extender
@rpstrong thanks! I’ll look into it
This looks identical to Brondell’s Nebia Corre which seems to be pretty popular (and expensive). This said, what is with the tile job in the shower pictures? It looks like it was done by drunk dwarves (in case they are into that kind of thing).
@qmirage I’ve seen tile jobs like that - I think they’re supposed to look “rustic.”
@Kyeh I guessed something like that but it sorta looks like they used bubble gum for grout, too
@qmirage Or toothpaste!

Can you remove the orifice to get more that 1.5 GPM?
Asking for a friend…
@seeden that friend would be me!
@seeden it may not be the same, I just ordered a large “rain” head for a different shower and it actually came with a tool to remove the flow reducer / orifice. So the answer is a big maybe, but I think quite a few of the shower heads use a similar configuration.
@dschonew @rjquillin
A definite maybe is good enough for me! I’m using my $10 IRK coupon and taking a wash in this for $30.
Not the same one being compared on Amz. Subtle difference, 60" hose instead of 72" hose… Not that anyone cares.
I’m in. Seems like a good deal. Plus, I like the magnetic feature. If it does make nice with the master shower, it shall be banished to 1 of the 2 showers in the house.
