Mistress GoaT- June 24th
9Good Morning to all!
Today’s holiday is an interesting one, Celebration of the Senses Day. We all have five senses, and I bet you don’t think about them every day. Take one away and your life becomes more complicated; your other senses are also heightened.
Take the time today to stop and smell the roses, pet a puppy, listen to nature, etc. Maybe don a blindfold and experiment with your remaining senses?!?
Which senses are your favorite, which could you not live without?

Let’s see…we are choosing between Sight, Sound, Smell, Taste, and Touch? I have thought about this and the sense I can’t live without is hearing, if I have to choose. Sight is a close second, but I think hearing contributes more to my life via music, OTR, radio plays, podcasts, etc.
@therealjrn I had an infection that caused both my ear canals to swell closed for awhile, and beyond the problems of hearing people talk or listening to audio I was astounded how much I used my hearing for orientation, location, timing, judging so many external factors such as how the engine of the car was running, how busy my immediate area was, whether a bus was about to run over me, etc… I just kind of sat on the couch for 3 days listening to the inside of my head hum and watching close-captioned movies until the antibiotics kicked in.
I’m pretty attached to my sense of proportion.
@UncleVinny I apparently am not, which is why my stomach is a bit out of proportion.
Pretty much a given that I couldn’t do without sight. While I’d hate to lose any of them, sight would be the only that would immediately impact my ability to do my job.

Gah! It was you that was dead all along @mfladd!
@mfladd I was wondering who would come up with the Sixth Sense. I should not be surprised it was you, but I thought you would go in a different direction …
I like all my cents
If one dulls my sense of humor, my sense of patience tends to lessen as well.

Of course, I’m not using horse sense in asking giphy for anything.
