@sammydog01 No, you need an 8-bit dongle to make it work. There is a small lag if you are doing anything competitive. Best to stick with the Pro Controller. Also note that these have terrible QC. Great controller when it works, but it never does.
@sammydog01 The 8BitDo Pro 2 controller is what you want for the Switch. I’ve got both the original Pro and the Pro 2. Well made, solid, configurable buttons via the app. 3 different color schemes.
This is an absolutely great deal, coming in 10 bucks cheaper than the standard Core controller. But, do know that it is not the current model of Elite Wireless (the Series 2). It will work with Xbox Series X and S though. And can’t stress enough…this is a great deal on this.

I have a Switch. Can I get one for a Switch?

@jeffreyarhodes I already have a ton of stuff that never works. Thanks for the warning.
@jeffreyarhodes @sammydog01
So I’d have thought it would work with BlueTooth, but I guess not this particular model. I’m so confused.
@sammydog01 I’ve seen a third party switch elite style controller at GameStop. $100 I think

Works with Switch, Windows, Mac, Android, etc.

They’ve got a bunch of other controllers too, from tiny little things to a massive desktop fight stick.
@blaineg I searched once for controllers for small hands (The switch is uncomfortably big) and this brand popped up. I’ll check it out.
@blaineg I just found this at a discount for prime day. Thanks!
Wow, aren’t these $100 more usually?
@jaybird I believe this is the Xbox One Elite Controller, now called “Series 1.” So yes, but it’s last generation’s model, so it’s now a bit cheaper.
That’s not to say it won’t work with current gen hardware

He he… 69 (dollars).
@eggsterminate nice
Series 1
Still a good price

Isn’t that just like Micro$oft, wanting to control everything?
Too slow this time
