@Stallion you snow what..it's just that they can give you snow , but , by the time it got to you , this comforter would be for a water bed instead ...just saying...
Got one last time, it ripped in the wash the first time I washed it, but I can't promise I followed the washing directions exactly. It's definitely warm & I still use it with the rip.
I got one last time too. Didn't even make it to the wash before ripping, so don't be too hard on your wlaindering process, @march5th00. It also got dirty (puppy paw prints) insanely quickly. Good to know I probably shouldn't bother trying to wash it: I'll just sew it into a pet bed or something.
These are great! Both of my kids have the twin size on their beds. I have two King size ones that I use in rotation on my Queen size bed. They've been through lots of washings and held up well. I do use tennis balls per the instructions. I will suggest that if you like to have extra on the sides (or share a bed with blanket hogs) get the king size. Like I said, I use the king size on my queen size bed, and I have the comforter turned sideways so there's even more drape on the sides. My dogs are major blanket hogs.
Ermagherd I love these comforters! But as much as I want to, I can't buy any more of them. I still have two king size ones that are still in the shipping plastic, plus the ones that we use. So hard to resist buying... they're just so nice... argh...
@Pony I'm with you @Pony. I love these! I have bought 3, use the hell out of 2 and gifted the 3rd. I want another one soooooo bad, but I'm up to my ass in king size comforters, counting all the other ones I have, and they're a pain in the ass to store. Maybe I should go for a little twin size. Twin size isn't too big is it? Maybe I should get a twin size one.
I purchased one last time. I'm a quality, cotton kind of person when it comes to bedding, but I needed something large, cheap, and warm. It was large, cheap, and warm, so it met my expectations perfectly. It hasn't fallen apart yet (haven't been using it this summer), either.
I bought two of these last time - one is still in the original bag. Unfortunately they aren't as soft as I was hoping for, as I was expecting more of a microfiber faux suede material - these are kind of rough/scratchy. Meh.
We got one when it was first offered. Then we got more the second time. They are great in the winter.
In the summer, we have the issue that they need to be stored somewhere. I used a garbage bag and a vacuum cleaner to shrink them for storage. My cheap garbage bags start to leak, and they expand again. I guess I need to buy better garbage bags, or maybe even the storage bags that are marketed for this particular use, with built in vacuum cleaner ports and everything.
@hamjudo Yep, got those vacuum storage bags at Costco pretty cheap. They seem to hold a vacuum fairly well if you aren't rough on the bag. Keeps our thick down comforter at about an inch thick for the duration of the warm season.
@hamjudo they have those vacuum storage bags at harbor freight for cheap, too. They are not very high quality but better than garbage bags, and far cheaper than the good vacuum bags.
@Teripie yep. But I'm very careful to take care of them. And I carefully seal the zipper. They're certainly not perfect - we primarily use them to collapse seasonal stuff. We have a huge wool Hudson Bay blanket we don't use much and sometimes have to re-vacuum it annually.
Umm the write-up says medium warmth..on what basis is this determined? Is there a dial on this comforter letting you adjust its warmth from barely any warmth there to maximum strength medium ? What say you meh...inquiring minds need to know your "comforting words" on this matter!
I've found an easier way to keep warm/cool with blankets is to have multiple, somewhat thin cotton blankets on the bed, and simply peel them back/pull forward as needed.
So if you'd like to offer some of THOSE blankets here, Meh (hinthinthint), especially in a true queen size, I'd love you forever. And ever.
Had 2, bought 2 more at cheaper price.. They are OK..Still a good buy.. Son likes the Black one..And until he actually takes it to the Laundromat, he is using the Navy One...
I've got two. I like them. Very lightweight and nice and cozy. I recommend the king size if you have a queen size bed. The queen size comforter only covers the top of a queen size bed.
What I need are some more sheets. Hint, hint, hint.
Got one in navy the last time they were sold, paired well with my down duvet for when it gets really cold. Haven't touched it since early spring though.
I bought one of these back when they first came on the site and my girlfriend and I love it. We ended up buying another when they came back. Would totally recommend this.
Like many others, I purchased one of these in the first sale. Couldn't say no for the price for a king. It sits on our couch and my wife loves it. Gets used almost every day, and still has plenty of fluff to it.
Had to pick up another one this time around. This one will probably be slated for our camper. This thing is solid, warm, and feels good. For $25 for the king it's a great deal.
Got a couple last time and they are holding up well. In for 3 more. Now whomever at Meh turned summer off so I would buy comforters, turn the heat back on. It is August and I am in long johns and layered shirts.
@cranky1950 Almost December, and snowing here. Wrote the above a few months back. I am trying to justify another purchase. I gifted one from the last batch.
Get it. You won't regret it. I got one king size and it was a solid buy. Warm without being heavy. Easy to dress up with a nice sheet set. I bought the titanium last year and just snagged the khaki. You can't beat the price! Thank you MEH!

I don't feel comfortable with that image
Give me the snow too or no deal
@Stallion
I'm holding out for nanofiber
@Stallion you snow what..it's just that they can give you snow , but , by the time it got to you , this comforter would be for a water bed instead ...just saying...
I dunno I find it quite comforting myself
This deal covers it all I'd say
@AttyVette
I'm down with that!
I think they're trying to fleece us.
@saodell yes we need to run and duck for cover!!
@AttyVette I'm warming up to that.
@beachbum I'm not comforted by any of this talk.
Got one last time, it ripped in the wash the first time I washed it, but I can't promise I followed the washing directions exactly. It's definitely warm & I still use it with the rip.

FWIW re: looking dirty, I got the grey one.
@march5th00
Duct tape!
@saodell nah Too itchy on the skin! The stuffing doesn't fall out despite the rip so it's not much of a deal breaker.
It seems we're going through a Rehash Mehweek.
@Fej
Dude, respect the classics!

were these not cheaper last time? or am i wearing my savings goggles?
@camille it was cheaper before
@camille Cheaper. The last time the twin size was $18 and King was $20.
@camille the @jont vacation tax has been applied.
@camille If you didn't get them here then, they're over there now, at the old prices. http://www.woot.com/offers/down-alternative-reversible-comforter-3-sizes-1
@OldCatLady SHOTS FIRED! SHOTS FIRED!
Bought this one last time. It's perfect for when you lose your bed and/or actual comforter.
It looks like, one of them at least, well red!
Ermagherd I love these comforters! But as much as I want to, I can't buy any more of them. I still have two king size ones that are still in the shipping plastic, plus the ones that we use. So hard to resist buying... they're just so nice... argh...
@Pony buy..buy..you know you what to buy...
@Pony
Cargo liner for SUV?
Or the kids radio flyer?
@AttyVette Noooo I can't! I mustn't!
@saodell No SUV (Jeep and a pickup) and no kids. No excuse! Gaaaah!
Well, that solves that dilemma- I just checked my bank account and I have $24. Haha! Never mind!
I would love to see these come up again closer to the holidays- they would make nice gifts.
@Pony I'm with you @Pony. I love these! I have bought 3, use the hell out of 2 and gifted the 3rd. Ugh, out of navy twin, platinum it is...
"Hey what should we call the red one? Something that conjures up images of softness and comfort against half-naked skin..."
"How about BRICK?"
@awk stones throw away I'd say!
@awk mighty, mighty, letting it all hang out
These are great for keeping warm!
@opiemeh yes, I'm warming up to this deal!
I live in So California. No need for giant comforters unless I feel like turning my AC on at night.
I think what we have here , ladies and gentlemen, is a blanket statement!
I just bought one; I'll never turn down a rad comforter.
@ayeooh I think one good turn deserves a comforter!
we don't need them here at dry and hot california south coast but here's hoping for some snow., in for one! spurious-rewarded-blademaster

@RedOak @hamjudo @RedOak They really work for you, those vacuum bags? I've tried all kinds of brands and have never had one hold it's seal.
@hamjudo tomorrow's deal needs to be space bags. You can get a bog variety box of them at costco on the cheap.
Buy one to give to a friend, who has lately been giving you the "cold shoulder ".
Meh, these were $5 less the last time I got one. That one hasn't fallen apart yet... I'll pass.
OMG I'm my Mom, buying another comforter I don't need
I'd buy at last time price. Meh.
Umm the write-up says medium warmth..on what basis is this determined? Is there a dial on this comforter letting you adjust its warmth from barely any warmth there to maximum strength medium ? What say you meh...inquiring minds need to know your "comforting words" on this matter!
@AttyVette They put a raw steak under the comforter, and in the morning it came out medium.
And ever.
@haydesigner Thats so much extra effort though, pulling the blankets on and off of you as needed.... I don't think I can do it.... XD
Goldilocks feeling??? Really, meh, you put that in your write up about this comforter??? I can't hardly bear it I'll tell you....
Had 2, bought 2 more at cheaper price.. They are OK..Still a good buy.. Son likes the Black one..And until he actually takes it to the Laundromat, he is using the Navy One...
@Mandamm so your son likes to keep his room ship shape with his navy one eh????
I live in Az. Pass.
@givemeyoursoul which one?
I've got two. I like them. Very lightweight and nice and cozy. I recommend the king size if you have a queen size bed. The queen size comforter only covers the top of a queen size bed.

I got one last year, but it wasn't warm enough. I think I'm going to blow a wad on a real down comforter.
@ceagee get a second one. Layering and all that.
@ceagee If you do you'd better wash it afterward (after-wad).
Got one in navy the last time they were sold, paired well with my down duvet for when it gets really cold. Haven't touched it since early spring though.
While I liked the what they looked... I killed one with my washer :(
This guy could use one...
Does anyone know what "defective" means? Just the usual minor blemishes/a little stitching out of place sort of stuff?
@lbb yeah like if it arrives damaged, etc.
In for 3, one of each size. I'm like Oprah for comforters today.
benign-brunette-tendency
I just found what i'm taking to go to winter burns to line my tent
@afroking42 burners untie!
got one last time, still in its packaging
Did I really NEED a comforter? No, but I bought it anyway!
@AgentRourke that's the spirit.
Winter ain't coming to the bay area baby!!!
I bought one of these back when they first came on the site and my girlfriend and I love it. We ended up buying another when they came back. Would totally recommend this.
