Only up to 13? Darn. I was thinking of getting this for myself to annoy the neighbors. But I’m old and my neighbors aren’t bad, except for their leaf blowers.
Can’t speak to this set directly, but as a band director, I can speak from experience that Mendini instruments in general are usually very cheap both in price and quality. Remember when it comes to musical instruments, you usually get what you pay for.
@Chronodin Yep. 4-lug drums are junk. I wouldn’t bother with a single snare this cheap. I’d only consider this set for a small child (there are 12 & 13 year-olds who would be too big for this) who’s never played, and be prepared to spend several times this to get a proper set if they stick with it, or figure out how to get rid of it if they don’t.
Looks like there’ll be LOTS leftover for future IRK’s!! Less than an hour to go and only 42 sold. Guess most folks have had bad experiences with these “torture kits” in the past!!
Someone who bought this: please let me know whether it has MIDI output (and if so whether it’s a dedicated DIN port, or just over USB)!
Their website and product listings don’t say either way, their phone number is disconnected, and their email address bounced. Not inspiring faith, but if I can finally get an e-kit to play Rock Band 3 with I will be a happy camper!
@agnesnutter I emailed SideDeal support, but they aren’t sure whether it has a MIDI port — I’m surprised they can’t just check, but I guess they don’t want to open up the new-in-box merchandise.

Perfect present for that nephew/niece/grandchild in your life!
@toycardriver especially if they live in a condo/apartment!
Age 6-13? You want to give a child this? Are you prepared for the consequences?
Did you hear about The Great Mendini? He was drummed out of town.
@mcanavino Ba dum tiss!
/giphy rimshot
@JT954 “let’s kick his ass!”
That’s what you’ll be saying about whoever gives these to you kid(s)!
Musician wanna-be’s:
This deal is for you if you like to beat it, but not if you like to blow it or suck it.
BANG, BANG, BANG (on the door Baby!!)
Laugh all you want, but “throne” is the correct term for a drummer’s stool
@elwombato So what he defecates from his anus is called a “throne”?? Who knew??
My Ex bought my 5 yr old son a drum set and sent it home with him…to me. lmao. I bought him a Bass when he was 12… Still plays, but not Drums.
Shouldn’t that be Mehndini?
@Kyeh I thought that’s what it actually said at first. I need more coffee.
I wish my wife could use this- her kit costs about 20 times this price! Oh, the chrometophobic life of the world’s oldest male groupie…

Drum stools are known as thrones. Besides being hilarious it is a mediocre bit of trivial knowledge
I got this and play it in public.
