[Unofficial] MehTV STARTS TOMORROW!!!

MehTV is starting tomorrow night! Remember the old days when Woot used to have a webcast show right before the new product was dropped? Two of it's faithful followers are bringing back the tradition and building a new community known as MehTV!! We will be having trivia, prizes, and tons of fun so please join us at

[Another staff edit here - we had to pull the banner ad, since it used Irk and no one asked Irk, and he's pretty particular about where he gets used as a model.]

You can talk as a guest but there is also an option to login. You don't get spammed. It's a casting site similar to Justin.tv that is now closed. This is not official. It's a fan based channel.

I remember years ago when embiggened and whitespy used to do this on justin.tv, and would also do 24 hour live casts of woot-offs. Same folks or completely unrelated?

It's awesome that people want to create stuff related to all this crap we put together each day, but in the interest of not confusing our members:

Some rules for people who want to do Meh-related stuff, which are all pretty much summarized as -
IT NEEDS TO BE VERY CLEAR IT'S UNOFFICIAL.
- Please don't just call it "Meh", but go with something like Meh Watchers [Thing], or Unofficial Meh [Thing].
- No using Meh graphics (no logo, no Irk, no Meh faces).
- Prominent, clear statement that it's unofficial. Something like: "This is unofficial, created by fans of Meh for the Meh community."
- If you make something that's awesome and catches on and gets popular, we might end up just copying you and making an official version. We can be jerks like that.
- Don't spam our forum (or any other) with posts about it. You can do one to announce it. Start the topic with [Unofficial] so, again, there's no confusion.
This works for things like videos, mobile & desktop apps, chat rooms, web sites, parties, events. It's cool for people to make stuff like that for our community, but it's lame if people get confused or concerned about it.

Looks like we need to make our own fan puppets. They can curse all they want, but they can't look like Irk or Glen.

I suggest a talking Fuku bag and a bunch of speaker docks. Make some labels that say "[Unofficial]". Use the "[Unofficial]" labels to partially obscure the Meh logo and the meh.com url. Then add a disclaimer that says, "Not affiliated with Meh or meh.com".

Cut in a mouth, add googly eyes, add some foam so the bag keeps a shape, and make a spot for the arm.

For the speaker docks, I suggest printing some pictures of speaker docks, and taping them to popsicle sticks. That makes it easy to have dozens of speaker dock puppets.
