OMG......omg, omG, oMG - this is the absolute BEST bunch of "crap" I have EVER gotten! Let me just say that whomever sent this, you were positively INSPIRED! That said, anyone can dispute this whom wants to - but I have what I believe to be the singular most impressive item ever.....yes, EVER!......received in a box of this type!

So....anyway......Collectable Mickey film cell cards - MIL is CRAZY about all things Disney, so these go to her. Grandkids are all in grade school, so the presidents history cards, they go to them. Nail clippers & emery boards - who really couldn't use more of them - ever? Stress squishy guy - got a co-worker that REALLY needs this! CocaCola mini disc - not sure how to use this, but really cool all the same. USB powered beverage heater/cooler.......another co-worker would kill for this. And that leaves me to the two off the chart things here.....the CD of the 12 Parodies of Christmas......PLEASE tell me that you are a part of these 3 guys, as you are AMAZING! Gonna give this one to EVERYBODY this coming Christmas! But first and foremost - everybody check out the totally awesome carnivorous, rabid, flesh-eating red-eyed spawn-of-Satan white rabbit. Does everybody see it? So - I am NOT into all that zombie stuff and everything - but this guy weighs a bloody ton, and he's actually A STAPLER! Yes; a working stapler! I swear - if there is one thing I will keep to the end of my life it will be this demon-possessed red-eyed rabbit from HELL stapler with the blood flecked teeth...... I am in TOTAL AWE, whomever you are who created this box of MEH - you have outdone yourself!

Yes - and I sadly fear that our own boxes will be sadly lack luster in excitement in comparison. Got my first box today from @goldenthorn. There's tons of stuff in it so before starting I thought it would be good to have a cocktail. I was feeling creative, so I made one up. It's 1.5 oz brandy, 0.5 oz St. Germaine, 0.5 oz Cynar, and 0.25 oz 1:1 simple syrup. It came out pretty good. I think this will go into the regular rotation. Like I said, there was a ton of stuff in the box. My wife took things out while I made notes. It contained:

@mossygreen LOL Happy I could fulfill your need. When my son was born I went around my entire house lubricating everything; door hinges and knobs, drawers, faucet handles... I'm like a ninja moving through my house now. Virtually undetectable.

@dunda I was not other sender but the wand things look like the old style Easter egg holders. They came flat like that and you bent a right angle near the circular end. Place your egg in the circular end and dunk in the color.

@bdecker202 I thought the balls were recalled, was excited to get some. Then, after reading a few articles about how the CPSC pretty much made the creator liable for poor parenting and abuse with his product, I ate two. One green then four ears of corn, barley chewed so it will not break down, followed by two greasy white castles and finally, a black one. I also ate a mouse button, gonna lobby the CPSC...looked like dark chocolate when completely removed from context and hungry :)

@becca You know, I always thought the half-boy was the top of an Avon cologne bottle, but never found one with the bottom, so I'm not actually sure. As for the cocktail forks, they're the sort of thing you never use if you have, but need if you don't. I honestly don't know if they're bamboo, or wood carved to look like bamboo. I only know they're in their original box. If I find something small and light that I think your dad would enjoy, I'll send it to you. I have your address, and you can't stop me.

And there I sit, with nothing,but emptiness, for the next 24 hours, where his presence enlightens me innards, only to drop more envelopes. It's a constant cycle, and it should be broken.

That said, those not holding up their end of the bargain should be banned from participating in future exchanges. Honestly, I have too much junk at home anyway. @RicoSuave I'm pretty sure I sent that Lionel Trains watch to San Diego. Also, you can get the image to show up in the post it you include the ".jpg" extension. Like so:

@Foxborn but what I have understood is that the card keeps on being charged until you put the movie back.. I could be wrong on this. But if true, the card is being charged as we speak, unless if it was paid off due to loss of the item.

@RicoSuave Sorry the watch was dead. My parents gave that to me some years ago and I never opened it, so I guess I'm not too surprised. Hopefully it has a replaceable battery. My mom has this thing where she thinks commonly-available things will be collector's items and that if I just hold on to it long enough I can sell it and retire. I kept it for a long time just to honor her, but I figured this would be a good thing to do with it. I'm sorry you can't sell it and retire.
@SSteve It's alright. I did look it up, and I'm pretty sure there is a replacement battery. Thanks for it. I guess it's in a more loving home than before.
@RicoSuave Interesting, I sent out the Red Box to my recipient. Unless, by chance, someone else did the same thing with the same move? If it's from my original box, it was paid off a LONG time ago. My box had 3 or 4 old red box in them. Oh, and I sent that 3M cable as well, but it was brand new in box.

@Foxborn I can't decide whether to watch it myself or save it for a Christmas present because I have 2 family members who would like it also. Since I don't have anything to play dvds on at the moment it may be the latter but I do appreciate it!
@chellemonkey thank you I feel a little better about all this now. Don't know if you have seen much stargate but what little I have seen (and I picked up a copy for myself as well I just haven't watched it yet) it is fairly different from the original bt as I recall I liked it
@chellemonkey SG:U is an amazing series. You should definitely watch it. It's on amazon prime streaming if that's an option for you. If you do pass it on, make sure to borrow it back at some point when you can watch dvds!

@chellemonkey I don't remember every little thing I put in mine, so far my GUESS is a plushie and something My little Pony and some kind of notepad. I have seen my items show up in three boxes so far (one of my friends got one from this guy and something that I sent was in it) I also have a feeling that I'm getting one from this jerk too and I'm Wondering what he sent back to me.

Very happy with this box- lots of things I like here.
Can someone help me know what this is and what it does?
It has an iPod/iPhone connection( seems like a connection from iPhone 4 and below) I have an iPod Touch 3rd Generation and when I plug it in the light lights up. Theres also a micro usb port under the iPhone one. And the other end looks like a connection for an HDMI, but it doesnt seem to fit in an HDMI port. Any help?
@RicoSuave I'm going to say that's a 3M video cable to connect the 3M Mobile Projector to an Apple device. I know this because I got one too!

Hey Studerc - We sure do appreciate all the effort you put into giving us this much fun! The hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our first ever "swap event", and we now have a much better understanding of what to put in the boxes next time (more volume of MORE bizarre trivia items - we were MUCH too serious about the use-ability of the crap this time). Towards that future date, we are already building our next two boxes! Thanks again for all your hard work and can't wait for the second round.

I got my box from our re-gifter in San Diego. It actually has the Saddhu Brand CD that I sent him in the first place. Along with another Redbox DVD and some other stuff he didn't want. Just for fun, I stalked him on Facebook and found these interesting posts:

So I guess no meh love for me from @kc2kvx. Box was delivered August 18, 2014 , 1:28 pm and it was a box filled with awesome meh stuff.....or so at least I thought.
From what I can remember here is some of what the 12 and a half pound box of mehness contained.
There were probably a few other things in there that I don't remember.
All in all I thought it was a perfect box of meh from top to bottom. Too bad @kc2kvx couldn't take the time to acknowledge it.
That said, who else sent a box but didn't get a response? I can't be the only one....Can I?

@bill7718 Unfortunately, you are not the only person who did not get a box. The other person who didn't send out boxes seems to have re-gifted some of the items, and not bothered with the rest. A big problem as they were responsible for 5 boxes.
@bill7718 altho mine wasn't acknowledged I did recieve a box from the person I sent one too...did they all work like that @studerc?
@dashcloud I did get my box and a great box it was from @bdecker202 (scroll way up for pic and items). I was and still am disappointed that the box I sent to @kc2kvx was not acknowledged by him. I'm just being a little whiny towards the ungrateful bastard @kc2kvx.

Sorry I don't have names to contribute here but I'll throw out several generic apologies.
I ended up out of town for an extended period of time encompassing this meh-xchange. Upon my return I had two very mediocre boxes on my doorstep that were full of... eh... stuff.
I sent my two boxes out late this past week and they are destined to arrive to their recipients on Wednesday next. One is going to Brooklyn and the other to San Diego.
If you live in either of those lovely cities and have been cursing getting duped, know that you'll still be underwhelmed - just a little later than expected. Seriously - It's going to be crap. Don't get excited.
That being said - if I've been getting flamed in these threads for standing someone up, I deserve it and I apologize. Work sucks. That's all I have to say about that.
