I suggested this same thing a couple a-thons ago. @Shawn thought it was a good idea. Frankly, I wouldn’t mind waiting to get everything in one box, if possible. Just seems more efficient for everybody.
@shawn@ybmuG Given your unique business model, I’ve always figured that on some level, Meh is a testing ground for warehouse & shipping logistics.
Hey, how about a charity raffle. The “winner” gets an all expense paid trip to Carrollton (aka Spirit Airlines, a cot in the breakroom, & some quarters for vending machine meals) to receive a private Meh warehouse tour!
@shawn oh, i get it. I sell stuff on eBay and offer discounted shipping on combined orders. It adds work because I pre-box everything so i just have to slap a label on it and so. Combining creates extra work, but since I’m not paying someone to do fulfillment, and my volume is decimal dust by comparison, the added work doesn’t really calculate like it would for meh, all in anticipation that some people would take advantage. But those workflows might not be optimal for people that don’t or for single orders. Just a thought, though, if it ever becomes possible.
@shawn That is awesome! Although, now I have another day w/ a Meh song stuck in my head.
I can only dream of someday being virtually transported around the Meh warehouse, while others seem to take just a little too much glee in poking me w/ a stick.
I’m probably in the minority here but I like receiving separate boxes. I reuse the boxes to either store or ship my own stuff. And, if one box goes missing or is damaged in shipping, the other items still arrive in good condition. You have a better chance of being able to keep multiple items from a porch pirate when they arrive on different days than if I received one big box full of everything.
@cengland0 I’m with you. I want my orders shipped separately. Simply for the reason that I may have ordered on an impulse to fulfill a gift for an occasion (birthday, holiday) and wouldn’t want to wait for the entire order to be shipped together.
Prior purchases did not. Even “I’ll buy a second order” orders have shipped separately before.
@narfcake Good to know. Thanks!

@ybmuG yep, it’s a good idea that’s very simple to explain but very difficult to actually implement.

OWLS! TOWELS! JOWLS! AWESOME!
I assume it can be hard since some orders are shipped by Meh itself, and some are shipped by manufacturers.

If a bunch of chickens routinely manage to put 12 eggs in a carton, Meh should be able to put multiple orders in a box.
@walarney At my old job, Amazon once shipped an order of 20 bolts in 20 separate packages.
