@lichme like rice krispies.. snap then crackle then they pop!! All in all I'd say a bust but then again , some people will get a charge out of this deal .. Well maybe not
@Fej I share that sentiment. if they were even slightly flexible they would be useful, as they are you are just asking for broken usb ports after frequent use.
These are really tough to use. I think they can be used in a pinch with a battery charger but that's about it. I still have mine from before. In any case, these are perfectly meh.
You might as well carry these which are, like, a million times less awkward: I use a half dozen of the longer versions around the house and to my surprise they've outlasted all the other USB cables.
You ever tried to hook up your phone to a 2" inch cable before?
Good luck.... These are I guess OK for an utmost emergency but you are shit out of luck if you want to use these for everyday charging. I can't imagine buying a 4 pack unless I was just gifting them out for people to throw on their keychain as an emergency phone charger solution.
Pre-edit edit: I can't believe I just took the time to post a serious comment in a fresh thread when I could have just posted a comment to troll for Stars.
@Lotsofgoats I did have a comment to talk about the irony of this typed out and then I just realized it was easier to say the "speed rush" to get my comment posted so people who care will see it is real
I got these free in the vmp giveaway and the Lightning one promptly broke in two trying to plug in my Touch. The microUSB one was a dud, didn't pull any power from the port or outlet. Even if they do work, the logistics of using them seems like a nightmare.
Adding my voice to those that say this is a perfectly meh product. I used a Lightning one to charge my phone at work; it was plugged in to a USB hub on my desk, so the length wasn't an issue. But after a couple months of use, it would not stay connected unless you jiggled the thing a bit, and then it would randomly disconnect again, even while lying still on the desk. It got worse and worse until it eventually stopped connecting altogether; it became just a non-functional plastic stick. Disappointing, but I got what I paid for.
I'd say the name says it all Meh snap cables although it should really be cables snap meh instead!! I bought these before and mine didn't work! The only use I got from this thing is I can find my key chain with this meh useless do dad on it! I charge you to find be a more worthless charger ...this word "snap " really means stupid needless awful product
DO NOT BUY THESE. Not only did they stop working after a few days, but they broke the charging port on my iphone. Cost me $100 deductible to replace the phone. Meh, stop selling these shitty, shitty things. Don't even give them away, they do more harm than good.
See, if you'd sell this crap within a month of some other crap that's a good enough deal I can't help but buy (like a mountain of low quality AA batteries), I'd shell out for them.
Tucked one in a phone case for a trip to China. Regular cable went missing. Never figured it for daily use but it saved me, as it worked well as a backup, charging my phone from a laptop nightly. Obviously designed outside the connector's specs, one should use it carefully and probably not expect daily use from it. The box, however, is classic Meh. Bought two, never needed to open the second one.
IF I get one and I attach it to a portable battery power charger. Will it be good enough for when a kid remembers to bring the battery but not the cable?
I'm going to do that obnoxious thing where I indirectly imply that a handful of the people who left previous comments might be stupid. Sorry, guys. Not my intention. I just felt like this needed to be said.
Is this going to work well, plugged into your wall (or car), with a standard charging base? NO! It's a short, inflexible piece of plastic that slides a few millimeters into your phone.
Is this going to be a great product for daily use? Not likely. What you're looking for is probably an actual cord of some sort.
This guy is ideal for emergencies and for use with (flat-ish) power banks. It takes up virtually no space and is harder to beat up than a cord. I have frequently been glad I had one tucked into my tiny handbag. I keep them with my power banks. I make sure I have them when I travel.
These are NOT CABLES! These are hard pieces of plastic. I bought like 3 packs about a year ago and have literally never used one of them once, whereas I used my Nomad cables maybe once a month.
Got these last time, the plastic is very cheap and both of mine broke. These only work if you have an old version of IOS as well, they dont charge since they are not apple approved.
These are stocking stuffers, because I'm not going to give out BT speakers. My compromising-historical-dress (apparently the order name generator is wary of me for some reason) looks like this:
@mtb002 That's not a bad idea - at least if you don't need to rely on the 8-pin version (refuse to call something not Apple MFi-certified a "Lightning" connector).
I have a couple on my key-chain, one micro and one lightning.. Had to use them a couple times in a pinch and never had a problem. These have actually saved me. I still have a couple in the box and Meh is not showing that I clicked yesterday (even though I did on those "fans") so double meh.
So I was all like 'Heh, I still have mine on my keychain from when I got a free one. I even used it once!'
And then I looked at my keychain. And it isn't there at all. The ring i put it on is still there, but my snap cable must have snapped right off at some point.

Oh snap, they're back!
@lichme like rice krispies.. snap then crackle then they pop!! All in all I'd say a bust but then again , some people will get a charge out of this deal .. Well maybe not
@lichme snap all you want, they'll make more
@nadroj should we all then snap them up before they are all gone?? Well then again , I doubt that will happen.
Noooooooo!!!! Please have mehrcy on us!
Fuck these.
@Fej That says all that needs to be said.
@densa they are great if you carry around one of these:
You might as well carry these which are, like, a million times less awkward:

I use a half dozen of the longer versions around the house and to my surprise they've outlasted all the other USB cables.
@trisk http://www.ebay.com/itm/391207459538
87 cents from china(4 weeks for shipping)
@trisk @communist clever design. And virtually free.
@communist Or 75 cents in the "also viewed" items. :P
The meter-long ones don't cost much more, even if you buy them stateside. They also make trendy bracelets.
@trisk Are there any lightning versions of these?
@r00fus Haven't checked before, but it looks like they exist.
@r00fus Don't do it. Not unless the "Lightning" cable is Apple MFi-certified. Crap shoot as to whether it will work.
Wait, when were these given to vmps?
@Aaronium A long long time ago. In a galaxy far far away. I think about a year ago, they just showed up one day.
@Aaronium Dec 2014
@Aaronium been like forever since anything free was given to us for free, but Texas air
@liammc Socks, right?
Not even for free!
It's Mehja Vu all over again.
I got these when they where on a two for Tuesday. The lighting cable sucks it didn't work for my iPhone 5s or 6 MEH
Mine already stopped working...
OK, but the Amazon link is inspired. So coming here wasn't a complete waste...
No mixed lightning/USB pack?!
I figured there would be a 30 for 8 deal on these. In for an 8 of Apple and an 8 of micro USB
These suck. I don't even remember the last time I tried to use one and it worked.

If the fancy box were pictured I might have considered it. No Box, no deal!
@Mehrocco_Mole
@nadroj He wanted a picture of the fancy box, not a picture of Irk holding a phone.

I charge meh with really phoning it in these days.

More? I get that tens of thousands these take up a tiny portion of the warehouse. But we already have these in every bag and car.
sweet, I had just lost my last one so I was hopping more would be available soon
Bought these last time. They are junk.
Funny story, I was in a goodwill store and found one of these MEH snap cable doodads and they were trying to get $3 out of it.
These are complete junk. After 2 or 3 uses, both my ios devices threw "This cable is not certified" errors and just stopped recognizing them.
DO NOT BUY THESE. Not only did they stop working after a few days, but they broke the charging port on my iphone. Cost me $100 deductible to replace the phone. Meh, stop selling these shitty, shitty things. Don't even give them away, they do more harm than good.
I got these for free and still don't like them.
I can't believe that I just read that someone spent $37 on these.
And I thought people were idiots for buying an ugly fan for $10......
I'll try it.There can never be enough Meh crap!

decorative-venomous-salt:
See, if you'd sell this crap within a month of some other crap that's a good enough deal I can't help but buy (like a mountain of low quality AA batteries), I'd shell out for them.
+1 for Meh branded crap at least once a month.

@caffeine_dude Android if it matters.
@caffeine_dude In my experience, yes. Especially if it is the kind of thing that you can pretty much lay flat on a table.
I'm going to do that obnoxious thing where I indirectly imply that a handful of the people who left previous comments might be stupid. Sorry, guys. Not my intention. I just felt like this needed to be said.

@OldCatLady the word "dress" certainly is incompatible (both from a gender and state of clothed perspective) with your standard pics. ;-)
I'm getting these to rubber band to portable batteries so I don't have to carry a cable around, thanks, Meh!
@mtb002 That's not a bad idea - at least if you don't need to rely on the 8-pin version (refuse to call something not Apple MFi-certified a "Lightning" connector).
Why? Why did I buy these???

Why not? In for microUSB.

Sadness.
I get the "this cable is not certified" message on an iPhone 6 and it won't charge. Anybody else?
@paulsab how could you two (paulsab and @bfr00) ignore that 3rd post, I mean it has 35 stars... that should tell you something. :)
I would, um, contact support... um... yea.

(I wouldn't expect an answer back quickly however, it's a holiday weekend after all)
Same message. They don't work.
@bfr00 Radda. Hit up meh.com/support for assistance. Since it's a holiday weekend, you may not hear back until Tues or Wed.
