While Encore implies context of having seen it already, the purpose of the segment is to attract folks who don’t know of the Meh site. There’s an upcoming project where this makes even more sense but we’re testing it out on MorningSave for now.
You might notice a slight nudge up on pricing that is built in to help out publishing partners when we can’t due to slim margin here.
@snapster I just went to look and I guess I am a little puzzled how that is different than MorningSave? I mean I realize you said you are going to add something later, but right now it I am not sure what differentiates it from MS unless it is going to only carry stuff that didn’t sell out on meh (that you don’t maybe have enough left to offer it a second time on meh??? - just stabbing in the dark here)… where as MS seems to have both that and other stuff not sold on meh? I noticed when I clicked on encore (where it was in brackets right below meh.) and it brought me to meh and I had been expecting to see an explanation of encore.
@RiotDemon That might have to do with the way MorningSave is set up. Since it seems like Mediocre is trying to partner with existing media producers to market this stuff (at least, I assume things like ExtraTV and The Real are existing YouTube channels or something, because I sure never heard of them before MorningSave), I think either Mediocre or these partners want to know how well the same thing sells when it’s linked to a certain property or marketed in a certain way vs. when it isn’t.
